Full-Time Wordpress Web Builder
Confidential employer
We are looking for a full-time Web Builder / VA to join our team long-term.
This is not a position where we want someone who simply waits for a checklist, completes exactly what is written, and stops.
We are looking for someone who can think, problem-solve, pay attention, follow instructions, and take ownership of their work.
Starting Pay
$800 USD/month starting salary
We will begin with a 2-week paid trial for $400.
If the trial is successful, you will move into the ongoing full-time position at $800/month.
There is absolutely room to grow beyond $800.
The more valuable you become to the company, the more responsibility you can handle, and the more efficiently you can produce high-quality work, the more opportunity there will be for increased compensation.
We would much rather pay more for someone who becomes incredibly valuable than constantly hire new people.
What You'll Be Working On
Our team builds and manages websites for businesses throughout the United States.
You can expect to work on approximately 4–6 websites per month, along with other website-related work.
Our average website is approximately 30–40 pages.
Your work may include:
- Building websites using WordPress + Elementor Pro
- Following approved designs and design systems
- Building desktop, tablet, and mobile layouts
- Working with pre-written and mapped website content
- Making website edits and revisions
- Website QC
- Sourcing and optimizing images
- Setting up forms
- Basic CSS adjustments
- Working with ACF/dynamic content when required
- Basic Rank Math/on-page SEO implementation
- Internal linking
- Blog formatting or occasional blog writing
- Troubleshooting website problems
- Using ChatGPT and Claude to help solve problems and work more efficiently
You do not need to be an expert at every single item above on day one.
We care much more about whether you can learn, follow our systems, and become more capable over time.
What We're Looking For
You should already be comfortable with:
WordPress
Elementor Pro
ChatGPT and/or Claude
Responsive website design
More importantly, we're looking for someone who:
- Pays extremely close attention to instructions
- Notices when something doesn't look right
- Asks good questions
- Can work independently
- Works well with a team
- Can troubleshoot before immediately asking someone else to solve the problem
- Uses AI as a tool instead of depending on AI to think for them
- Is willing to learn new systems
- Accepts feedback without becoming defensive
- Takes responsibility for their work
- Communicates when they are stuck
- Thinks outside the box
- Looks for solutions
- Wants to continually become better at their job
Years of experience are not the d ---------- factor.
Someone with 4 years of experience who is hungry, adaptable, and constantly learning is more valuable to us than someone with 10 years of experience who believes they already know everything.
Schedule
This is a full-time position.
We are flexible regarding which days you choose to work.
However, once your work schedule is agreed upon, we expect you to stick to it.
We care about accountability, communication, meeting deadlines, and producing quality work.
How We Work
You will receive training on our specific processes.
We use SOPs, AI-assisted workflows, project management systems, website templates, design systems, and internal processes to make our work as repeatable as possible.
We do not expect you to magically know our system.
We do expect you to learn it.
We also don't want someone who needs step-by-step instructions every time something unexpected happens.
Our ideal team member thinks:
"What is the outcome we're trying to accomplish, what information do I already have, and what can I try before escalating this?"
Knowing when to ask a question is just as important as knowing how to solve something yourself.
Application Instructions
Please answer ALL of the following.
Applications that ignore the instructions may not be considered.
1. Portfolio
Send us links to 3 websites you personally worked on.
For each one, briefly explain exactly what YOU were responsible for.
2. Elementor Experience
How comfortable are you with Elementor Pro from 1–10?
Tell us what you can confidently do without needing instructions.
3. AI Experience
How are you currently using ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI tools in your work?
Give us one real example.
4. Problem-Solving Scenario
Imagine this situation:
You are building a 35-page website in Elementor.
The design and content have already been provided.
You reach one page where the provided content does not fit the approved section design very well. You also notice that the mobile version of the section looks bad.
The project manager is currently unavailable.
Walk us through exactly what you would do next.
We are less interested in the "correct answer" than we are in understanding how you think.
Explain:
- What you would check first
- What you would attempt yourself
- Whether you would continue working or stop
- At what point you would ask the team for help
- What information you would include when asking for help
5. Attention to Detail
At the very beginning of your application, write:
"I READ THE ENTIRE POST."
This is intentionally simple.
One Last Thing
We are building a team of people who want to become exceptionally good at what they do.
You don't need to know everything.
You do need to care.
If you are someone who learns quickly, takes ownership, enjoys solving problems, and wants an opportunity where becoming more valuable creates more opportunity for you, we'd like to hear from you.
