Full-Time Video Editor — Short & Long-Form Product Content (AI Tools Experience Required)

I'm a US-based business owner looking for a full-time, long-term video editor to produce both short-form ads and long-form content for a physical product. This is a permanent position, not a project. If you're looking for something temporary or juggling multiple clients, this isn't for you.

What you'll be doing:

Editing 15–60 second vertical ads for Meta, TikTok, and Reels
Editing long-form videos (YouTube-style content, product explainers, 5–15 minutes)
Working from scripts, shot lists, and raw/AI-generated clips I provide
Generating video with AI tools (Google Flow, Veo 3, Kling, or similar) from prompts and shot lists
Using Claude AI for scripting, prompt writing, and creative planning
Adding captions, text overlays, sound design, and music
Cutting for retention: strong hooks, tight pacing, no dead space
Producing multiple variations of the same ad (different hooks, different CTAs)
Proposing your own ad concepts based on what you think will convert

What I'm looking for:

Proven experience editing for e-commerce or DTC brands — you must show examples of both short-form and long-form work
Hands-on experience with Google Flow / Veo 3 or comparable AI video tools (Kling, Runway). Show me something you've made with them.
Experience using Claude AI or similar for scripting and prompting
Fluent in CapCut and/or Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus)
Understands direct-response editing: hooks, pattern interrupts, pacing, captions that hold attention
Reliable, communicative, and able to hit deadlines without being chased
Takes feedback well and revises quickly
Available 40 hours/week with consistent overlap with US hours
Serious about a long-term role — I want someone who grows with the business

Starting rate is $3/hour with raises tied to output and results. This is a stable, full-time position with consistent work.
