AutoCAD Architectural Drafter — NYC Experience | Remote, Hourly

We are a New York City architecture and zoning practice seeking an individual offshore drafter for ongoing hourly work. You will work directly with the principal, developing and revising drawings from sketches, markups, examples, and clear guidance. Individual applicants only; no agencies or outsourced teams.

TYPICAL ASSIGNMENTS

• Prepare preliminary floor plans and layouts under our direction.
• Revise elevations and sections and coordinate them with floor plans.
• Prepare and update Builders Pavement Plans (BPP).
• Update light and air calculations, diagrams, and schedules using provided criteria.
• Incorporate redlines and maintain consistent dimensions, annotations, layers, and sheet formatting.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong, efficient 2D AutoCAD production skills.
• Previous experience preparing drawings for NYC projects, preferably architectural/DOB drawing sets.
• Strong written and spoken English, including the ability to discuss drawings during screen-sharing calls.
• Ability to follow office standards, understand markups, and ask clear questions when something is uncertain.
• Careful self-review and reliable communication about progress and turnaround.
• Some availability overlapping New York business hours.

This role focuses on practical drafting support under our guidance. Specific BPP and light/air experience is valuable; please identify which tasks you have handled personally.
