YouTube Creative Director — Davao City (Hybrid)

Location: Davao City — Davao-based applicants only
Setup: Hybrid (work-from-home + our Davao City studio)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM PHT (occasional urgent-turnaround flex)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're the team behind Shane Hummus, a leading career and finance YouTube channel, and we produce content for established business owners, YouTube entrepreneurs, and business coaches. We're hiring a Creative Director to own the creative engine behind that content.

This is a hands-on role, not management from the sidelines. You'll live in the edit, shape the story, and sit in the room where content decisions get made — working directly with Shane (CEO) and the production team on what gets made and why.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Edit long-form video — talking-head, podcast, and interview content — with strong pacing, hooks, b-roll, captions, and retention-driven structure
• Shape the video content roadmap directly with the CEO and team
• Develop and refine content ideas that serve each channel's brand and business goals
• Own content end to end — ideation, scripting support, editing, publishing — while protecting the creator's voice
• Fold YouTube growth strategy into content planning and optimize output for the algorithm
• Read performance data and adjust — views, retention, engagement, conversions
• Occasional ad hoc creative work, like turning client ideas into clean visual presentations (Miro, Google Slides)

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Proven long-form editing experience on talking-head, podcast, or interview content — your portfolio must include published videos, with links to the channels they ran on
• Strong command of YouTube-native editing: pacing, hooks, b-roll, captions, retention
• At least ONE of the following, with examples:

– Thumbnail design: click-worthy YouTube thumbnails, OR
– YouTube strategy: titles, packaging, SEO, analytics, channel growth

• Excellent English and comfort collaborating directly with the CEO and clients
• Data-driven but trend-aware — you work with numbers and taste
• Based in Davao City and available for the hybrid studio setup

• Background in marketing, branding, or viral content creation
• Experience managing and growing YouTube channels
• Working knowledge of YouTube SEO and monetization
• Comfortable running multiple projects in parallel without dropping threads
