Executive Assistant for Business Operations & Growth Support
Confidential employer
We're an Australian property investment business launching several new ventures — including an online education platform and a drop-shipping curtain business — alongside our core operations. We're looking for a strong, capable operator who can take true end-to-end ownership: setting up a business from scratch and then running it day-to-day once live.
This is not an admin or support role. You'll be the person who builds how a business works — systems, processes, structure — and then keeps it running well. If one venture doesn't fill your time, you may take on more than one.
This is a full-time role, starting part-time for the first few months.
What you'll be doing
- Setting up new business ventures — it's systems, structure, and operations
- Running ventures day-to-day once they're operational
- Building and managing teams where needed as ventures grow
- Establishing processes so each business operates smoothly without constant oversight
- Identifying and solving operational problems before they become blockers
- Reporting progress and flagging issues that need attention
- Taking on new ventures or projects as they come up — scoping and launching each one
- Bringing structure to ambiguous, early-stage situations
Who we're looking for
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Have experience setting up a business, department, or venture from scratch — not just running an existing one
- Have experience managing or coordinating teams
- Are comfortable operating with real autonomy and minimal day-to-day direction
- Can make sound decisions independently and follow through without being chased
- Communicate clearly and professionally in written and spoken English
- Are a strategic thinker who is also structured and detail-oriented in execution
- Can juggle multiple ventures or priorities at once
Experience in online education, real estate, buyers agency, or ecommerce is a strong plus — but we're primarily looking for a proven operator who can figure things out, regardless of specific industry background.
What success looks like
- New ventures move from idea to fully operational
- Once live, each venture runs smoothly with minimal oversight required
- Problems get identified and solved before they escalate
- You become someone we can hand a new venture to and trust it'll get built and run well
Hours and working arrangement
- Full-time role, starting part-time for the first few months. Some availability during Melbourne business hours required. Exact hours and schedule will be discussed with shortlisted applicants.
How to apply
Please submit the following:
- Your most recent, updated CV
- A 2–3 minute Loom video introducing yourself and walking through your relevant experience — please speak naturally, and DO NOT read from a script
Applications without a Loom video will not be considered. Please speak naturally in your video rather than reading from a prepared script.
