About the Role

Web & Digital Design Specialist

Part-Time | Remote | Long-Term Growth Opportunity

Do you love great design, building beautiful websites, and using your creative skills for work that has a bigger purpose?

The Catholic Film Institute (CFI) is looking for a talented, reliable, and creative Web & Digital Design Specialist to join our growing team.

CFI is a nonprofit organization bringing together Catholic filmmakers, visual storytellers, and creative professionals from around the world. We believe film, media, and beautiful storytelling can help inspire people, strengthen faith, and positively influence culture.

We’re growing — and we need a creative digital teammate who can help us look as good online as the mission deserves.

What You'll Be Doing

Your main responsibility will be helping us manage, improve, and grow our digital presence. Depending on the week, you may:

Update and maintain our WordPress website
Build or edit pages using Elementor
Make website design and layout improvements
Troubleshoot basic website issues
Create landing pages for programs, events, or campaigns
Design graphics for social media, email , presentations, and marketing materials
Resize or adapt existing designs for different platforms
Upload and format website content
Help keep our website organized, current, and visually polished
Assist with basic SEO and website analytics
Support occasional social media and digital content projects
Help with other creative projects as CFI continues to grow

In other words: if it lives somewhere between web design, digital design, and “Can you help us make this look better?” — you may be our person.

We'd Love to Meet You If...

You have:

Strong experience with WordPress
Experience using Elementor
A good eye for clean, professional design
Graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
Strong attention to detail
Good written English and communication skills
The ability to manage projects and deadlines independently
A willingness to learn new platforms and solve problems
A reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely

Experience with SEO, analytics, social media, email marketing, or membership platforms such as Hivebrite is a big plus — but you do not need to know everything on Day One.

We're much more interested in finding someone talented, dependable, curious, and excited to grow with us.

About You

You don't wait for someone to tell you every tiny thing that needs fixing. If you notice a button is out of place, a page could look better, or there's a smarter way to accomplish something, you'll speak up.

You're creative, but you're also organized.

You enjoy learning new things.

You can take direction, but you're also comfortable saying, “I have an idea.”

And most importantly, you care about doing excellent work.

Because CFI is a Catholic organization, our ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic who understands and is excited about our mission. However, we also welcome candidates who sincerely respect Catholic teaching and feel strongly aligned with the work we are doing.

Position Details
Approximately 20 hours per week to start
Fully remote
Independent contractor position
Long-term opportunity
Potential to grow into a full-time role as CFI grows
Competitive compensation based on skills and experience
Applicants based in the Philippines are encouraged to apply

We are looking for someone who wants more than a quick freelance project. We hope to find a teammate who can learn our organization, take ownership of our digital presence, and grow alongside us.
