High-Level VSL / Meta Ads Video Editor (Direct Response)

We are looking for a high-level VSL video editor to help us scale direct-response ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram).

This is not YouTube editing or cinematic content.
This role is strictly about performance: building ads that hold attention, maintain retention, and convert.

You will be editing Meta ads ranging from 30 seconds to 90 seconds, and occasionally longer VSLs of 2–3 minutes.

The offers are direct-response skincare and health products for men aged 30–60.

Most creatives are:

UGC-style videos

Authority / expert talking-head videos

Testimonials

Mechanism explainers

These videos are designed to sell — not entertain.

What Matters Most

We are not looking for pretty edits.

We are looking for someone who understands that the first 3 seconds determine everything.

You must know how to:

Pace a direct-response VSL for Meta

Use pattern interrupts

Maintain viewer retention

Control visual rhythm

Reinforce scripts with text overlays

Keep talking-head footage watchable

Retention matters more than aesthetics.

Required Editing Skills

You must have proven experience editing VSLs or Meta ads.

You should be comfortable with:

CapCut

Fast cuts

Punch-ins

Zooms

High-contrast subtitles

Mixing stock footage with UGC

Editing around direct-response psychology

You also need to understand how to edit for men (30–60) — not influencer-style or beauty-style content.

AI Workflow (Required)

This role requires heavy use of AI tools.

You must be comfortable integrating AI into the creative workflow to increase production speed and creative possibilities.

You should know how to work with tools such as:

Sync (lip-sync and facial syncing)

ElevenLabs (AI voiceovers)

Higgsfield (AI-generated scientific/mechanism footage)

AI face replacement / enhancement

AI UGC generation

AI video generation and augmentation

You must also know how to:

Prompt AI tools properly

Generate scientific/mechanism visuals

Sync footage naturally to AI voiceovers

Clean up AI artifacts

Ensure accurate mouth movement and speech alignment

Combine AI footage, stock footage, and real footage seamlessly

We prefer editors who can suggest creative improvements instead of just executing instructions.

Compensation

Compensation can be:

Per video, or

Weekly, depending on skill level.

Long-term collaboration is available for the right editor.

Performance bonuses may also be offered if your creatives perform well.
