Compensation: Based on experience, skill level, and production expectations
Initial Engagement: Per-project / per-video test period with opportunity to transition into a full-time role

About the Role

GetTruckDrivers is looking for experienced Video Editors to join our creative and marketing team remotely.

We are currently looking for:

Short-Form Video Editor
Long-Form Video Editor

You may apply for one or both. Your portfolio should reflect the type of work you'd like to be considered for.

This position will initially begin on a per-reel/per-video basis as a test period. After approximately one month, we will evaluate your performance, quality of work, reliability, communication, and overall fit with the team. Strong performers may be offered the opportunity to transition into a full-time remote position.

Compensation during the initial period will be determined based on your experience, portfolio, editing capabilities, and expected output.

What You'll Do

You'll create high-quality, visually polished, motion-graphics-driven content designed to tell compelling stories, communicate clear messages, and ultimately turn viewers into clients.

Depending on your role, you'll work primarily on short-form social media content or long-form YouTube content.

Your responsibilities may include:

Editing engaging short-form reels or long-form videos
Creating purposeful motion graphics, animations, captions, and visual elements
Using strong pacing, storytelling, hooks, and visual hierarchy to maintain viewer attention
Turning raw footage into polished, professional content aligned with our brand
Using editing techniques that support audience retention and conversion
Incorporating sound design, music, B-roll, graphics, and other creative elements where appropriate
Collaborating with our marketing and creative team on feedback and revisions
Completing revisions efficiently and following creative direction
Maintaining consistent quality and meeting agreed-upon production deadlines
What We're Looking For
Proven video editing experience. This is not an entry-level position. You should have professional editing experience and examples of previous work.
A strong portfolio. A portfolio or editing reel is required. Applications without one will not be considered.
Strong motion graphics skills. You should be able to create visually engaging content beyond basic cuts and transitions.
Strong storytelling instincts. You understand hooks, pacing, structure, retention, and how to keep viewers engaged.
A conversion mindset. Our content isn't created just to look good. It should educate, engage, build trust, and encourage viewers to take action.
Attention to detail. You care about typography, sound design, timing, visual consistency, and the small details that make content feel professional.
Ability to take feedback. You can receive creative direction, make revisions efficiently, and collaborate with a team.
Strong communication and reliability. Since this is a remote position, you should be responsive, organized, and dependable.
CDT availability. You must be available during our standard working hours of 9:00 AM–5:00 PM CDT, Monday through Friday.
Initial Test Period & Full-Time Opportunity

This role will begin as a project-based position, with compensation provided on a per-reel or per-video basis.

The initial period allows us to evaluate:
