Experienced AI Video Creator & Editor (full-time, long-term)

Read this first: if you do not already have real experience creating videos with AI, and you cannot already edit at a professional level, do not apply. You will not get a reply. This is not a role you learn on the job.

THE WORK

We're a DACH-facing (German) jewelry e-commerce brand looking for a creative video editor who can produce high-converting video content — mainly AI-generated UGC and animation, but capable of all sorts of creative formats across multiple platforms.

I give you the brief: the concept, the angle, what the video has to do. You do the rest — write the prompts, run the generations, judge what comes back, and cut it into a finished video. I do not hand you prompts to paste in, and I do not teach the tools.

Both halves matter equally. Generation is the harder one: getting a specific shot out of a model takes the right prompt, the right references and real judgement. Editing is the one people underestimate — CapCut is easy to open, but pacing, timing, sound and a hook that holds someone for two seconds are not.

We pay for the tools and every credit you use on the job. We are not tied to one platform, so I want someone comfortable moving between models.

MUST HAVE — ALL OF IT

Provable experience generating video with AI (Higgsfield, Veo, Sora, Kling, Runway, Hailuo — as long as you personally made the work and can explain how)
You write your own prompts from a brief. This is the single most important requirement here.
Efficiency. Regenerating is normal; needing thirty attempts is not. I expect a usable shot within a few generations.
Strong editing: CapCut at a level where it is not your bottleneck, plus a real sense for pacing and sound
Fluent, natural English, written and spoken
A portfolio of short-form video you made yourself
Reliable internet and a computer that handles video work

Nice to have: jewelry, fashion or beauty experience (genuinely optional), Meta and TikTok ad creatives, AI image generation, After Effects, sound design.

HOURS

Full-time, 40 hours minimum. If you can do 50, I want that, and I pay for every hour.

Part of your day is yours to arrange freely. Part of it is not: I work in Central European Time and need you online during a meaningful stretch of my day, so feedback does not take 24 hours to travel. My schedule shifts sometimes and I need you flexible enough to shift with it — always with advance notice.

One person, one brand, not five clients at once. Long-term.

PAY

$5 per hour on average, up to $7. Your starting rate is set after the test pieces, and I tell you the number and the reason. After that it is reviewed monthly on the quality and volume of what you deliver: strong work moves it up, weak work moves it down. No hidden metrics.

$7 is the ceiling for the role as written. Above that there is a path to $9 as you take on more ownership of the content — d ---------- what gets made, not just making it.

This is an early-stage brand: no revenue yet, no proven funnel, no brand recognition. I would rather pay properly for someone who needs no supervision than pay little for work I have to fix. If you want to clock in, execute exactly, and clock out, this is not the right role.

THE TEST

Two short UNPAID test videos before anyone is hired: one UGC-style, one animated. I send the briefs; you arrange your own tool access and credits for the test. Once hired, we pay for everything.

That is a deliberate filter. Anyone chasing quick cash will not do it. If it is a dealbreaker, do not apply — no hard feelings. The test pieces are used to evaluate you and nothing else; they do not run as ads.

After the test: a paid trial project at your full rate, then the ongoing role.
