About the Role

Marketing & Admin Virtual Assistant — Long-Term Role | 20 Hours Per Week

Hi, I'm Anne. I'm based in Australia and have worked as a therapist specialising in anxiety for over 10 years.

I'm now growing Creating Confident Kids, a business that gives parents practical tools they can use at home to help reduce anxiety in their kids.

I'm looking for a Marketing & Admin Virtual Assistant to work with me approximately 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week).

I'm not looking for an agency or someone managing a large team. I'm looking for one person who would like to become part of the business, learn how I work and hopefully stay with me long term.

What you'll be helping me with

Your work will be varied and could include:
Creating and adapting posts in Canva using my existing branding and templates
Scheduling content across Instagram, Facebook and ----------
Basic Reel/video editing using CapCut
Uploading and organising content
Making straightforward changes to existing WordPress/Elementor website pages
Updating pages and content in ----------
Uploading email s, PDFs, audios and programme resources
Online research
Organising files and documents
Checking links, forms and pages
General administrative support
Using ChatGPT/AI tools to assist with tasks
I don't need you to be a web designer or developer. I already have websites and systems in place. I need someone who can follow instructions carefully and make changes to what already exists.

You also don't need experience with every platform above. I'm happy to teach the right person.

The person I'm looking for

For me, this is probably more important than having every technical skill.

I'm looking for someone who:

Has very good written English
Is reliable and organised
Has excellent attention to detail
Can follow instructions without unnecessarily changing things
Is comfortable asking a question when something isn't clear
Is willing to learn new software
Can work independently once they understand a task
Communicates well
Takes pride in getting things right
Would like a stable, long-term working relationship

Experience with Canva, social media, CapCut, WordPress/Elementor, ---------- and ChatGPT would be an advantage, but I don't expect you to know everything.

Hours

Approximately 20 hours per week — around 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

I'm in Australia, so some overlap with Australian business hours would be useful, but you don't need to work the entire time I'm online.

A little test of attention to detail

If you've read this far, please start your application with the words:

“Hi Anne, I read to the bottom.”

Then please tell me:

A little about yourself and why you think you'd suit this role.
How many hours per week you're currently available.
Your hourly rate in USD.
Which of the tools I've mentioned you've used before.
Which ones you haven't used but would be comfortable learning.
Please include a link to one piece of work you're particularly proud of, if you have one.

Please don't send me a long generic or AI-generated cover letter. I'd much rather hear from you in your own words.

I'm happy to teach someone who doesn't know everything. I'm much more interested in finding the right person who is dependable, careful, willing to learn and enjoyable to work with.

If that sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you.

Anne
