About the Role

Here’s a quick video sharing why you may want to work with me! ----------

Role Overview:
I'm looking to add a proactive, detail-oriented SEO specialist to my team. I need someone who can lay the technical foundation on WordPress and help guide our content and keyword strategy going forward. If you love technical SEO, keyword research, and working closely with a content team, keep reading!

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work any 2-hour block ideally in the afternoon, between 1pm to 4pm Eastern Time (US), Monday through Friday (a morning time block is also okay, but an afternoon schedule is the best).
  • Must be able to work 10 hours weekly, with potential to increase hours later on if everything goes well!
  • Must have strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Must be comfortable working closely as part of a small content team.

What You’ll Do:

Must-Have Experience (Responsibilities You Must Be Proficient In):

These are the tasks the VA needs to handle independently and confidently from day one:

Technical SEO & WordPress

  • Handle technical SEO for the company’s WordPress website.
  • Make changes directly in WordPress.
  • Build out the site's core technical SEO infrastructure from the ground up.
  • Ensure on-page SEO basics are in place, including H1 headings and other core on-page elements.

Content & Keyword Strategy

  • Recommend keywords to target based on the business's evolving priorities.
  • Guide the content team on what content to create to support ranking goals.
  • Work closely with the content team to ensure everything published supports SEO goals.

Nice-to-Have Experience (Responsibilities You Can Learn Over Time):

These tasks are valuable but can be trained on the job:

  • Post updates to Google My Business whenever new content is published elsewhere
  • Respond to Google reviews
  • Help build a strategy to increase the number of Google reviews received
  • Review past testimonials to make sure they're being fully leveraged

Ready to Apply?
1. Message me with the subject “I’m excited to work with you, Sarah!”
2. Add a link to your resume
3. Indicate your contact email address

If this doesn’t sound perfect but you love hard work and learning, reach out anyway—there’s likely another chance to join my team!
