About the Role

Video Editor & Content Designer (Full-Time, Long-Term)

SALARY: $1000 USD / month
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Philippine time
Start: within 2 to 4 weeks

ABOUT US

The 30 Hour Coach is an online mentorship for online fitness coaches. We take coaches doing $5k to $30k a month, working far too many hours, and get them to $50k months and beyond.

Our organic content has one job: give real value, build trust, and build a connection with the coaches who watch it. It is not hype for the sake of hype, and it is not "hustle harder" motivation. The voice is Australian, direct and warm. Tactical, real direction on social media for online coaches.

We already have a brand design system built: fonts, colours, templates, rules. You will report to our Operations Manager, who directs all of our content, and check in with her every week. She d ---------- what gets made. You make it well.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Every week:

  • Edit 5 short-form videos from footage the Founder films (30 to 60 seconds, 9:16, burned-in captions, b-roll)
  • Design 2 Instagram carousels with a native Instagram feel, from the Operations Manager's direction
  • Cut 1 hype reel from footage we record across the week

(Subject to Content Volume Demand)

Ongoing, all directed by the Operations Manager:

  • Clip our delivery calls into short-form. Ops tells you what to clip. You make it land
  • Clip our YouTube videos into short-form
  • Edit our delivery lessons, from workshop Zoom recordings or purpose-filmed footage, into clean lesson videos for our members
  • Thumbnails and cover frames
  • Keep our drives, footage and b-roll library organised so anyone can find anything (currently using ---------- )

You are not expected to come up with the content. You are expected to execute it well, fast, and to the brief, every week, without being chased.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • At least 1 year editing short-form vertical video for a brand, agency or creator
  • DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro
  • Photoshop, Figma and Canva for design work
  • A portfolio of vertical video you personally cut, plus at least one carousel or static design
  • Strong written and spoken English. You will be on a weekly call with the Founder and Operations Manager
  • Reliable internet, 25 Mbps or better, and a plan for power outages
  • Your own machine that can handle 4K editing, and your own software

NICE TO HAVE

  • After Effects or Resolve Fusion for motion
  • Fitness, health or coaching content experience
  • Experience clipping long recordings (podcasts, webinars, calls) into shorts
  • Experience editing lesson or course video

WHAT WE OFFER

  • $1000 USD per month, paid via Wise. Twice monthly is preferred, but we are flexible if you need a different split
  • 13th month pay
  • A long-term role. We want someone for years, not for a project
  • One brand, one design system, one person to report to. No juggling five clients with five different styles

HOW TO APPLY

Read this part carefully. Applications that skip these steps get deleted without a reply.

1. Start your message with the word ORANGE.

2. Send 3 links to vertical short-form videos you personally edited, plus 1 carousel or static design you made. For each video, tell me in a single sentence what you were trying to make the viewer feel in the first 2 seconds.

3. Tell me what software you use.

4. Tell me how many hours a week you are currently committed to other clients.

5. Answer this question: a client sends you a 90 second talking-head recording and asks for a 45 second short. What do you cut first, and why?

Do not send a generic cover letter. I read every application that follows these five steps, and I ignore every one that does not.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
