Video Podcast Editor (Part Time, 15 to 20 Hours Per Week)

I am looking for a video podcast editor who can take multi-camera interview footage and turn it into episodes people watch all the way through. This is a part-time role, roughly 15 to 20 hours per week, with steady weekly work for the right person.

This job is about pacing and polish. Two people talking for an hour only holds attention if the editor knows when to cut, when to breathe, and when to drop in something visual. That is the skill I am hiring for.

Here is what you need to be able to do.

• Cut multiple camera shots together, with quick cuts between speakers so the conversation feels alive
• Clean up audio, balance levels, and remove background noise so every voice sounds clear
• Add lower thirds, intros, outros, and graphic overlays
• Pull sound and moments from outtakes and layer them in where they add energy
• Add B-roll, graphics, and royalty free background music that fits the tone
• Find your own B-roll for custom projects in a technical industry, sourcing footage from the companies we interview or from public projects on YouTube

That last point matters more than you might think. Our episodes cover a technical field, and I will not always hand you a folder of clips. I need someone who can research the guest, find relevant footage of their facilities and projects, and work it into the edit without being asked. Attention to detail is everything in this role, so when you apply, put the word "cucumber" in your email subject line.

The main deliverable is full podcast episodes, whatever gets thrown at you. On top of that, you will create clips and shorts from each episode for social. If you have experience uploading and publishing to YouTube, Apple Podcasts, or Spotify, tell me, because that is a big plus and part of where I want this role to go.

Here is how the hiring process works. First, there is a free test task. I will send you two shots with audio, and your job is to cut them together into one engaging scene of about 10 minutes. If that goes well, I will give you a longer paid test task, which will be a full podcast episode. If you pass both, the job is yours on a part-time, weekly basis.

I pay twice a month via Wise, on the 1st and 16th. The payment on the 16th covers work from the 1st to the 15th, and the payment on the 1st covers the 16th through the end of the month.
