About the Role
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to help create, review, and improve educational content for NBCOT preparation, occupational therapy school, and continuing education.
This is not a virtual assistant role. We are seeking an OT with strong clinical knowledge, excellent written communication, and a genuine interest in education, research, and evidence-based practice.
We are especially interested in candidates with knowledge or experience in:
- Mental health
- Neurologic and neuromuscular conditions
- Pediatrics
- Activities of daily living and ADL training
- Other occupational therapy specialty areas
Responsibilities
- Create and review NBCOT exam-preparation content.
- Help develop educational materials for occupational therapy students.
- Assist with evidence-based continuing-education content.
- Review study notes, lesson scripts, flashcards, cheat sheets, presentations, and educational videos.
- Help create or review NBCOT-style questions and answer rationales.
- Research current evidence, clinical guidelines, and best practices.
- Identify missing, outdated, unclear, or clinically inaccurate information.
- Improve explanations so complex OT concepts are clear and useful to students and practitioners.
- Provide OT-specific guidance for examples, activities, interventions, images, demonstrations, and case scenarios.
- Collaborate with other clinicians, writers, and designers as needed.
Ideal Candidate
- Licensed or professionally qualified Occupational Therapist.
- Strong experience in at least one relevant specialty area; experience across multiple areas is preferred.
- Familiarity with NBCOT content, OT curricula, or occupational therapy education.
- Teaching, clinical-instruction, educational-content, or research experience is strongly preferred.
- Advanced training, specialty experience, or certifications are a plus.
- Strong clinical-reasoning and research skills.
- Excellent written English.
- Able to explain complex occupational therapy concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented, responsive, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
- Passionate about occupational therapy education and producing high-quality learning materials.
