Good Curriculum Does Not Write Itself.

Position Summary
Elorae supports education programs in Korea, including Leaders Academy, where students study English, writing, speech, and competitive debate. The teaching happens live. The curriculum behind it has to be equally strong.

We are building a real Curriculum team, not hiring one generic writer. We want people who can write, edit, organize, and improve educational material across several departments. The priority hire is a Curriculum Director who can set standards, review other people's work, allocate projects, and make the entire team better. We are also hiring strong producers who may specialize in one area.

You do not need to fit only one box. If you are genuinely strong in more than one role, say so. Combined roles are welcome.

What This Team Does
Our curriculum is used by real teachers and real students. Work may include lesson plans, student handouts, textbooks, debate preparation materials, speech units, writing prompts, teacher guides, activity sheets, assessment material, and revisions to existing content.

Writers need to understand audience. A worksheet for a younger English learner cannot read like a senior high debate chapter. A speech lesson should not feel like a debate lesson with different labels. Good curriculum is not just grammatically correct. It has a purpose, a level, a sequence, and a classroom reality.

The Curriculum Director role is different. The Director is expected to judge quality, not simply produce pages. You should be able to look at several pieces of work, identify what is wrong, explain the standard, d ---------- what needs revision, and assign work intelligently across people with different strengths.

Who This Is For
For writing and editing roles, we are interested in people with backgrounds in education, English, ESL, communications, writing, editing, speech, debate, or adjacent fields. Teaching experience is useful because classroom instincts matter. Excellent written English is essential.

For the Curriculum Director, we are especially interested in candidates who have already been responsible for other people's academic output: academic heads, curriculum coordinators, department leaders, senior teachers, editors, school administrators, or similar roles. Years of experience alone are not enough. We need judgment.

Speech and debate experience is a major advantage for the Debate and Speech seats. Korean ability is useful but not required.

A Word About Your Setup
This is remote work. You need your own laptop or desktop, a stable connection of at least 30 Mbps download with acceptable latency, and a workspace where you can focus and join video calls when needed. We work on Korea Standard Time and some overlap with KST business hours is required.

Hours and Payment
These are part-time roles that can expand based on performance and team need. Strong candidates may hold more than one responsibility.

Paid probation begins at 5,000 KRW per hour. The initial ramp is intentionally small so both sides can test fit and real output. Longer-term compensation may shift toward output-based pay depending on the role and the work being produced.

September Philippines Interviews
We will conduct full in-person interview days in Cebu on September 22 and Manila on September 24. Strong applicants who can attend one of those days should make sure their current city is clear in the application. The jobs themselves are remote.
