Medical Health Instructor and Coordinator

Absolute Allied Health Academy is seeking an experienced, dependable, and energetic Allied Health Instructor to assist with instruction in our Medical Assistant Program at our Duncanville, Texas campus.

We are looking for a healthcare professional who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Position Responsibilities

The Allied Health Instructor will assist with classroom and hands-on instruction in areas including:

Medical assisting fundamentals
Anatomy & physiology
Medical terminology
Vital signs and patient intake
Blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, and SpO₂
Infection control and standard precautions
Medical asepsis and PPE
Phlebotomy and specimen collection
EKG placement and basic procedures
Point-of-care testing
Medication administration fundamentals
Injections and clinical procedures, as appropriate
Patient positioning and examination preparation
Medical documentation
HIPAA and patient confidentiality
Professionalism and communication
Front-office and administrative medical assisting
Skills check-offs and competency evaluations
National certification exam preparation

The instructor will also assist with maintaining an organized classroom and skills laboratory, monitoring student progress, grading assignments when assigned, documenting competencies, and providing additional support to students who need assistance mastering clinical skills.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a strong background in healthcare and experience in one or more areas of allied health.

Preferred candidates may include:

Medical Assistants
LVNs/LPNs
Registered Nurses
Certified Phlebotomy Technicians
EKG Technicians
Patient Care Technicians

Other qualified allied health professionals with Medical Assistant experience

Teaching experience is preferred but not necessarily required for candidates with strong clinical experience and the ability to effectively teach and demonstrate skills.
