Junior/Mid-Level Podcast Editor
We’re looking for a driven Junior/Mid-Level Podcast Editor to join our team and grow with us long-term.
Your main responsibility will be editing and polishing podcast content, but this role is designed to become much more than that. You’ll work alongside experienced editors and creatives, learning advanced editing, VFX, storytelling, and YouTube-specific techniques as you develop.
We’re looking for someone who already has a solid foundation, not necessarily an expert, but understands the fundamentals of text animation, rotoscoping or rotobrushing, audio balancing, sound effects, color grading, and motion graphics.
We’ll provide guidance and mentorship, but the end goal is for you to become a highly capable, self-sufficient editor who can take ownership of projects and produce world-class content without needing constant direction.
If you have the fundamentals and are serious about becoming exceptional at your craft, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Edit, clean, and polish one podcast episode per week into a professional, high-quality final video.
Maintain extremely high quality control. No syncing issues, unnecessary dead air, spelling mistakes, or sloppy frames.
Create animated intros, text overlays, motion graphics, and SFX that improve the viewing experience.
Balance dialogue, music, and sound effects to create clean and professional audio.
Perform fundamental color correction and grading.
Learn directly from senior editors and creatives to improve your VFX, storytelling, pacing, and YouTube editing skills.
Take increasing ownership of the podcast editing pipeline until you can manage the production process independently.
What We’re Looking For
Fundamental to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Strong understanding of audio mixing, balancing, and basic sound design.
Fundamental color grading skills.
Experience with basic motion graphics, text animation, rotobrushing, and visual effects.
Extreme attention to detail. A typo, bad cut, awkward pause, or frame being out of sync should bother you.
A portfolio that demonstrates clean editing, audio work, and basic motion graphics.
A genuine student-of-the-game mentality. You actively study great editors and want to improve quickly.
Ability to take feedback, iterate quickly, and continuously raise the quality of your work.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to consistently deliver one polished edit per week without sacrificing quality.
Self-motivated and capable of gradually working with less supervision.
