Background
Probolsky Research is an opinion research firm that wins business through competitive proposals for state and local government agencies and private-sector organizations in the United States.
Role Summary
This role manages all aspects of proposal writing, formatting, and submission, with a strong focus on compliance, clean design, and creativity.
Lead the development, coordination, design, and submission of RFP responses for research projects.
Deliver submission-ready proposals that match every requirement, ensure quality control, and present professionally.
Primary responsibilities
Own the end-to-end proposal process: triage to evaluate fit, proposal draft , internal deadlines, reviews, and final submission
Write and edit proposal narratives: approach, methodology, schedule, staffing
Design and format proposals using Canva or Google docs depending on RFP, then produce submission-ready PDFs and other documents
Coordinate inputs from internal staff, partners, and consultants - resumes, case studies, references, forms, and pricing
Research and identify new RFP opportunities, potential clients, and partnership leads
Draft and send prospecting email s, follow-up sequences, and introduction messages to decision-makers
Support interview preparation by assembling prospect research, talking points
Track outreach activity and pipeline status
Monitor government procurement portals and bid notification services for relevant upcoming solicitations
Design marketing collateral - one-pagers, case study summaries, capability statements
Maintain and update the firm's content library and SOPs
Required
Exceptional English writing, editing, and proofreading skills
High attention to detail
Prior government proposal writing experience
Able to work under deadline pressure
Strong follow-through and self direction
Comfort asking questions and sharing draft work product
Strong Canva layout skills
Ability to interpret complex RFP instructions and convert them into compelling responses
Understanding of market and opinion research (polling, surveys, focus groups, workshops)
Able to flag risk areas in RFPs (timeline, scope, compliance, pricing structure) and recommend go/no-go considerations
Background in government, politics, or public policy
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Government procurement and portal submission experience
Comfort representing a firm's voice across multiple channels
Work Schedule
Pacific Time. Some weekend hours required.
