SCHEDULE AND WORKLOAD

This position requires 6–7 days of availability per week.

Normal working days are approximately 10 hours per day.

You must also be comfortable working late-night hours in the Philippines and regularly working until approximately 3:00 AM PH time or later when needed.

This is necessary because the role requires significant overlap with U.S. working hours and because content needs to move quickly.

Some days will be substantially heavier than others.

During major content pushes, launches, high-performing trends, urgent projects, or other time-sensitive periods, you must be comfortable occasionally working 14–16 hour days when necessary.

This is a high-volume operation.

You must be capable of completing up to approximately 30–40 short-form videos in a day when the format and workload require it.

Not every day will require maximum output, and different video formats take different amounts of time, but you must have the speed, organization, and stamina necessary to handle extremely high-volume days without sacrificing quality.

If you are looking for:

JOB DESCRIPTION

I run TikTok pages that consistently reach millions of views and produce content at significant scale.

I am looking for an editor who can eventually operate as much more than someone who simply follows instructions.

You should understand what makes short-form content perform, recognize trends quickly, understand American internet culture, and develop strong instincts for what belongs on screen without needing every decision explained to you.

Success in this role comes down to five things above everything else:

**Editing quality.
Speed.
English comprehension.
Cultural awareness.
Responsiveness.**

All five are extremely important.

THE WORK

You will primarily edit short-form vertical content including:

• Talking-head videos
• Voiceover/b-roll videos
• Product-focused content
• Commentary videos
• Trend-driven videos
• TikTok Shop content
• Other fast-moving vertical formats

Typical responsibilities include:

• Cutting dead space so videos stay fast-paced
• Stitching the strongest takes together seamlessly
• Identifying which takes should be used without needing every selection made for you
• Adding image overlays that support what is being said
• Adding screenshots, comments, posts, website images, memes, and other visual assets
• Using zooms, crops, reframes, and movement to keep the frame dynamic
• Building b-roll sequences around voiceovers
• Matching visuals to individual lines of a script
• Finding your own visual assets when they are not provided
• Knowing when an image, meme, celebrity photo, reaction, screenshot, or cultural reference makes sense
• Reviewing your own exports before submission
• Fixing obvious issues before sending work
• Learning the brands, people, products, and content styles we work with
• Following trends and identifying opportunities before they become outdated

This is one of the most important requirements of the entire position.

You must have excellent English comprehension.

You need to understand not only the literal meaning of a sentence, but also:

• Humor
• Sarcasm
• Tone
• Slang
• References
• Internet terminology
• American social-media culture
• Celebrity culture
• Influencer culture
• College culture
• Reality television references
• TikTok trends
• Memes
• Viral moments
• Current online conversations

If a script references an American celebrity, viral TikTok moment, reality show, meme, brand, influencer controversy, cultural moment, or popular internet reference, I cannot stop production every time to explain what it means.

You should either already understand it or be capable of researching it immediately.

You must also be extremely knowledgeable about current TikTok trends and American internet culture.

Following trends is part of the job.

I want someone who naturally spends enough time online to understand:

• What people are currently talking about
• Which sounds are trending
• Which creators are relevant
• Which memes are circulating
• Which stories are going viral
• What visual styles are performing
• Why certain content is gaining attention

You should not need me to introduce you to every trend.

SOURCING YOUR OWN ASSETS

You must be highly self-sufficient.

I will provide direction, scripts, footage, and context depending on the video, but I should not need to create a complete asset folder for every edit.

You should be capable of:

• Reading or listening to a script and determining what visual belongs with each line
• Finding high-quality images of celebrities, influencers, products, brands, locations, and other subjects
• Choosing visually strong images rather than simply using the first search result
• Finding TikTok comments, Reddit posts, social posts, screenshots, articles, and other supporting material
• Navigating brand websites and identifying which areas are worth showing
• Taking clean screenshots
• Finding relevant b-roll
• Understanding which assets strengthen the story
• Knowing when an asset is unnecessary
• Placing every asset at the correct moment in the video

You should be able to receive a script, voiceover, or raw video and independently determine what additional material is needed to make the finished edit engaging.

COMMUNICATION AND RESPONSIVENESS

Communication speed is extremely important.

Short-form content moves quickly, and delays in communication can delay an entire content schedule.

During your scheduled working hours, I expect responses to messages within approximately 30 minutes.

Outside of your scheduled working hours, while you are awake, I generally expect responses within approximately one hour when something comes up.

You are not expected to wake up during normal sleeping hours specifically to respond.

However, once you wake up, you should check your messages immediately and respond to anything outstanding.

You should remain highly responsive throughout the day.

This position is best suited for someone who naturally checks communications frequently and does not disappear for many hours without notice.

If something prevents you from responding or working normally, communicate that immediately.
