Freelance Colorist — Custom LUT Creation & Color Grading

CLNR Studios is seeking an experienced freelance colorist for ongoing, project-based work. We’re looking for someone with an exceptional eye, strong technical expertise, and the ability to create distinctive visual treatments across commercial, branded, narrative, and social content.

This is a gig-based opportunity for a dependable creative partner we can call on whenever a project requires professional color grading or custom LUT development. We offer a substantial budget for exceptional talent and consistently polished, high-end work.

Responsibilities

• Professionally color-correct and grade footage
• Create technical and creative custom LUTs
• Establish cohesive looks across multiple cameras and lighting environments
• Perform shot matching, skin-tone refinement, and secondary corrections
• Collaborate with directors, editors, and producers to translate references into finished visual treatments
• Prepare grades for web, social, broadcast, and other delivery formats
• Maintain organized project files and reliable color-management workflows
• Complete revisions efficiently and within agreed timelines

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and round-trip workflows
• Proven experience creating custom LUTs
• Thorough understanding of color science, color management, log formats, codecs, scopes, and delivery standards
• Excellent judgment around exposure, contrast, skin tones, color separation, and visual consistency
• Ability to match footage across different cameras and shooting conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional work
• Dependable communication and deadline management
• Ability to work independently and accommodate fast turnarounds when required

Experience with HDR, ACES, commercials, music videos, fashion, beauty, and remote review platforms is a plus.
