Performance Content Editor — Direct Response
Confidential employer
*Remote | Kalrah & Nooralife | Trial → Long-Term Role*
We’re looking for a *Performance Content Editor* to work across *Kalrah & Nooralife*, creating direct-response video ads primarily for Meta (Facebook & Instagram).
This is not a role for someone who only wants to make videos that “look nice.”
We want an editor who understands — or is hungry to learn — *what makes people stop scrolling, keep watching and take action.*
You’ll work with our existing content bank, product footage, UGC-style footage and AI-generated content to produce performance-focused creatives that we can continuously test and scale.
We’re looking for someone we can train, develop and work with long term.
PART 1 — THE ROLE
Your main responsibility will be producing approximately *30 performance creatives per month*.
1A. Meta Ad Editing
Create direct-response video ads for Facebook and Instagram using:
- Existing footage from our content bank
- Product footage
- UGC-style content
- Voiceovers
- Text overlays
- Testimonials and social proof
- Different hooks, angles and CTAs
- Winning creative references
Your job is not simply to assemble clips.
Every hook, cut, piece of text, visual and CTA should have a reason for being there.
1B. Performance Creative
You will learn to think about editing through a performance lens.
That means understanding concepts such as:
- Hooks
- Scroll stopping
- Retention
- Pacing
- Direct-response structure
- Creative angles
- Calls to action
- Winning vs losing creatives
- ROAS and advertising performance
We will share references, feedback and performance data so you can continuously improve your edits.
1C. AI Content Creation
You’ll also use AI tools to help us create new content and extend what we can produce from our existing assets.
This could include:
- AI-generated scenes
- AI voiceovers
- AI-assisted UGC
- Product visualisation
- Creative variations
- Extending or modifying existing content
You do not need to already be an expert in every AI tool.
Being comfortable learning new technology quickly is more important.
1D. Creative Iteration
Winning ads rarely come from making one video and moving on.
You may take an existing creative and create multiple variations by changing:
- The first 3 seconds
- Hook
- Opening visual
- Voiceover
- Text
- Pacing
- CTA
- Creative angle
You should be comfortable testing, learning and iterating.
---
PART 2 — WHAT WE OFFER
Long-Term Opportunity
This starts as a *trial role*, with the intention of developing the right person into a long-term member of our creative team.
We are not looking for someone who disappears after one project.
Base Pay
*USD $250 for 30 videos per month during the initial arrangement.*
The scope and compensation can grow as your responsibilities, skills and performance grow.
Performance Upside
We believe editors should benefit when their work performs.
There will be opportunities for *performance bonuses / commission for winning ads*, with performance judged using metrics such as:
- ROAS
- Creative performance
- Ads that become scalable winners
The better you become at producing profitable creatives, the greater your earning potential can become.
Training & Growth
You’ll receive:
- Creative references
- Direct feedback
- Advertising performance insights
- Guidance on direct-response editing
- Exposure to AI creative tools
- Opportunities to take greater creative ownership over time
We want someone who wants to become a *seriously good performance creative editor*, not just process editing tasks.

PART 3 — WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Detail-Oriented
You notice the small things.
Bad subtitles, awkward cuts, inconsistent fonts, poor timing, incorrect product details and sloppy exports should bother you.
Reliable
If you say something will be delivered, we expect it to be delivered.
No disappearing. No constantly needing to be chased.
Fast
Performance marketing moves quickly.
You should be able to produce and revise content efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Takes Feedback Well
We will give direct creative feedback.
You should be able to receive feedback, understand the reasoning behind it and apply it to future work — rather than needing the same correction repeatedly.
Performance-Minded
You understand that:
*A beautiful ad that doesn't sell is not a winning ad.*
We care about aesthetics, but the ultimate goal is performance.
Strong Reference Matching
If we send you a successful ad or reference, you should be able to break it down:
- Why does the hook work?
- How is it paced?
- What creates curiosity?
- What footage is being shown?
- When does the product appear?
- How is the offer introduced?
- Why does someone keep watching?
Then use those principles to create something for our brands.
Tech Comfortable
*CapCut proficiency is required.*
Experience with any of the following is a bonus:
- Canva
- ElevenLabs
- Veo
- Google Flow
- Higgsfield
- Other AI video/image generation tools
You do not need to know everything.
We care more about whether you can learn quickly and execute properly.
---
PART 4 — HOW WE WORK
This is a *fully remote role*.
Communication will mainly happen through:
*WhatsApp / Telegram *
We expect clear and responsive communication.
You do not need to send unnecessary messages all day, but you should:
- Acknowledge instructions
- Ask questions when something genuinely isn't clear
- Give updates when required
- Tell us early if there is an issue
- Never disappear during an active project
Expected output is approximately:
*30 completed performance videos per month.*
---
PART 5 — HOW TO APPLY
We care much more about your *work, thinking and attitude* than a generic application.
To show us that you actually read this job description, start your application with:
*“MANGO”*
Then include:
1. Your Details
- Name
- Location
- ---------- or Telegram
2. Portfolio
Send us your strongest examples of:
- Meta/Facebook ads
- E-commerce videos
- UGC-style ads
- Direct-response editing
- Short-form content
- AI-generated content
You do not need experience in every category.
Show us your *best work*, not every video you have ever made.
3. Tell Us About Yourself
In a few sentences, tell us:
*Why do you think you would be good at creating ads that actually make people buy?*
Do not send us a corporate essay.
We want to understand how you think and what kind of person we would be working with.
4. One More Detail
Somewhere naturally inside your application, include the word:
*“LYCHEE”*
Don't make it a heading.
We'll know why it's there.
---
Important
We are *not asking for an unpaid test edit* as part of the initial application.
If your portfolio and application stand out, we will contact you directly for the next stage.
Applications that clearly ignore the instructions above may not be considered.
