About the Role

What you'll be doing

Develop and maintain full stack web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies

Write clean, efficient and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and company standards

Collaborate with senior developers, designers and product teams to translate requirements into functional features

Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

Debug and troubleshoot application issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner

Work with databases to design schemas, write queries and optimise performance

Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications across various environments

Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to full stack development

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

Proficiency in at least one frontend framework or library such as React, Vue.js, Angular or similar technologies

Strong understanding of backend development using languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, C# or similar

Solid grasp of relational databases and SQL, with exposure to NoSQL databases being advantageous

Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git

Understanding of RESTful API design principles and web application architecture

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a collaborative environment

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting

Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript fundamentals

Familiarity with development tools, IDEs and debugging techniques

Any experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud would be beneficial

Understanding of agile development methodologies is preferred

At least 2 years of relevant experience in Full Stack Development, Database Development, Data Analytics, or a related IT role.
