Job Description: Social Media & Digital Marketing Specialist (Remote – Philippines)
Company: KangaCare Group
Location: Remote (Philippines-based)
Type: Full-time / Part-time (specify hours e.g. 20-40 hrs/week, AEST-overlap preferred)
Industry: NDIS Disability Support Services (Melbourne, Australia)
About KangaCare Group
KangaCare Group is a Melbourne-based NDIS-registered provider delivering day programs, complex care, and Supported Independent Living (SIL) services across Melbourne's north. We're growing fast and need a marketing specialist who can build our social presence, run email marketing, and keep our brand consistently visible and professional across every channel.
Role Overview
We're looking for an experienced Social Media, Email Marketing & Advertising Specialist to plan, create, and manage content across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook , run monthly email newsletters, and execute paid ad campaigns that generate real enquiries (day program referrals, SIL leads, support coordinator relationships). This is not an entry-level role — we need someone who has already run campaigns that worked, can maintain a consistent brand identity, and can prove results.
Trial Period
This role begins with a 2-week paid trial before any ongoing engagement is confirmed. During the trial, you will be asked to deliver:
- A 2-week social media content calendar (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook ) that reflects a consistent brand theme.
- One draft newsletter, ready to send, including subject line options.
- One test ad campaign plan (objective, targeting, budget, creative concept) for either Meta or TikTok Ads.
- Daily or every-second-day check-ins so we can assess communication and reliability, not just output quality.
Performance during the trial (quality, consistency, communication, and ability to meet deadlines) determines whether the engagement continues on an ongoing monthly or hourly basis. Trial work is paid at [insert trial rate] regardless of outcome.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media
- Plan and schedule content 2-3 weeks in advance across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook so we're never scrambling for posts.
- Create engaging content (photos, short-form video/reels, captions, graphics) that reflects a consistent, professional brand theme — same colour palette, fonts, tone of voice, and visual style across every platform and every post.
- Maintain and evolve a brand style guide/content template system so anyone reviewing our feed instantly recognises KangaCare's identity.
- Respond to or flag comments/DMs for follow-up, and support community engagement.
Email Marketing
- Plan and send a monthly newsletter to participants, families, referrers, and support coordinators.
- Build and manage an email campaign calendar at least 3 cycles (3 months) in advance, so content, offers, and sends are never last-minute.
- Write and design newsletters using an email platform (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, or similar), including subject line testing, segmentation, and performance tracking (open rate, click rate, conversions).
- Grow and maintain the email list ethically and in compliance with Australian spam/privacy regulations.
Paid Advertising & Campaigns
- Plan, launch, and optimise paid ad campaigns (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads) targeting NDIS participants, families, and support coordinators — with clear budget, targeting, and performance tracking.
- Design campaigns that generate genuine interest and measurable leads, not just vanity metrics (likes/follows) — cost-per-lead and conversion tracking are essential.
- Monitor and report on all campaign performance (social + email + ads) weekly, with clear recommendations for what to scale or cut.
General
- Develop and maintain a master content/campaign calendar covering social, email , and ads together so all channels stay aligned and consistent.
- Coordinate with our team for photos/videos/testimonials from programs and SIL homes.
- Stay current on platform algorithm changes and trends relevant to service-based/healthcare marketing.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience managing social media accounts for a business (not personal accounts).
- Proven experience running email marketing/newsletter campaigns — must be able to show past newsletters and performance metrics.
- Proven track record running paid ad campaigns with measurable results — must be able to share case studies, screenshots, or metrics from past campaigns.
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook content formats, algorithms, and best practices (reels, trends, hashtags, posting times).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a consistent, professional brand identity across multiple channels — not just individually good posts, but a cohesive overall look and voice.
- Content creation skills — basic photo/video editing (Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools, or similar).
- Excellent written English for captions, ad copy, email copy, and community responses.
- Experience with a content calendar/scheduling tool (Later, Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.) and an email platform (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar).
- Ability to work independently, plan well ahead of deadlines, and communicate proactively (daily/weekly check-ins).
- Highly desirable: previous experience marketing for an NDIS provider, disability service, aged care, or healthcare/community services business.
- Bonus: experience with Canva templates, brand kits, or basic graphic design.
What to Include in Your Application
- Links to social media accounts/pages you've managed (with your role clearly stated) — ideally showing a consistent visual theme across the feed.
- Sample newsletters or email campaigns you've built, with open/click rate results if available.
- Examples of ad campaigns you've run, including approximate budget, objective, and results (leads, CPL, ROAS, engagement).
- A short mock plan showing: 1 week of social content + 1 newsletter concept + 1 ad campaign idea, all following a single consistent theme, for an NDIS-style service business.
- Your availability (hours/week) and timezone overlap with AEST.
- If applicable, details of any NDIS, disability services, or healthcare marketing experience.
