SPECIALIZED TOOLS MANAGER

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Specialized Tools Manager to lead our specialized tools department. The successful candidate must have strong product knowledge, leadership skills, customer management experience, and the ability to understand the Vanuatu market, set goals, and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
Tools & Product Management

• Maintain strong knowledge of professional/specialized tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Understand product specifications, applications, and customer requirements.
• Monitor product performance, stock levels, and market demand.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding products, availability, warranties, and support.

Team Management

• Lead, train, motivate, and supervise the specialized tools team.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching.

Planning & Business Development

• Set monthly, quarterly, and annual department goals.
• Develop action plans to achieve sales and operational targets.
• Identify market trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities in Vanuatu.
• Forecast demand and coordinate purchasing and inventory requirements.
• Prepare regular sales and performance reports.

Sales & Customer Management

• Support the team in achieving sales targets.
• Manage key customers and major tool/equipment inquiries.
• Provide technical product advice and resolve customer concerns.

Inventory & Operations

• Work closely with the Stock Controller and warehouse team.
• Monitor high-value tools, shortages, damages, and slow-moving stock.
• Support stock takes and investigate inventory discrepancies.

Marketing & Product Content

• Create professional product videos, promotional videos, Reels, advertisements, and corporate content.
• Strong understanding of videography, composition, lighting, audio, and storytelling.
• Proficient in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent.
• Able to produce polished edits including colour correction, audio balancing, subtitles, transitions, and basic motion graphics.
• Creative, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently from a marketing brief.
• Own photography/videography equipment is an advantage.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in tools, equipment, machinery, hardware, or construction supplies.
• Strong knowledge of professional tools, power tools, hand tools, and machinery.
• Proven team leadership and management experience.
• Strong sales, customer service, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to set goals, analyze market demand, and develop action plans.
• Good computer skills, including Excel/Google Sheets and sales/inventory systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Willing to relocate to and work in Vanuatu.

Preferred Experience

• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with professional tool brands.
• Experience working with contractors, construction companies, workshops, mechanics, or electricians.
• Preferably 28–40 years old.
