STOCK CONTROLLER

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Stock Controller to manage inventory accuracy and ensure physical stock consistently matches system records. This role requires strong accountability, sharp attention to detail, and comfort working with numbers and stock systems daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Check quantities, descriptions, and condition of items received
• Label, organize, and store inventory properly
• Monitor stock levels; flag low-stock, excess, damaged, or missing items
• Record all stock movements — receiving, transfers, sales, returns, damages, adjustments
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and assist with full stock takes
• Investigate and report discrepancies between physical and system stock
• Prepare stock reports and updates for management
• Monitor slow-moving, damaged, and obsolete inventory
• Coordinate with warehouse, sales, purchasing, and finance teams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure stockroom/warehouse
• Follow company stock control and security procedures

Minimum Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or similar
• Solid understanding of inventory control procedures and stock-taking
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic computer skills; experience with inventory, POS, or accounting systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Able to identify and investigate stock discrepancies independently
• Physically fit and able to handle/move stock when required
• Honest, responsible, and accountable
• With good communication skills (English)

Preferred Experience

• Background in retail, hardware, construction supplies, or wholesale inventory
• Experience with QuickBooks, POS, ERP, or inventory management systems
• Experience conducting large-scale physical stock takes
• Knowledge of SKU/product coding and inventory valuation
• Valid driver's license
• Preferably 25-40 years old.
