Product/Industrial Designer

Elemental is looking for an experienced Product/Industrial Designer to help develop premium stainless-steel and plastic drinkware.

This is not a general graphic-design or rendering position. We need someone who can turn product concepts into thoughtful, manufacturable CAD designs while balancing aesthetics, ergonomics, material behavior, and production requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

• Water bottles, tumblers, lids, caps, handles, and related accessories
• Product concepts, form development, and ergonomic improvements
• Parametric CAD models and production-ready assemblies
• Internal volume, wall thickness, draft angle, and tolerance validation
• Threaded closures, silicone gaskets, seals, and leak-resistant assemblies
• Prototypes, design revisions, and manufacturing handoff files
• Realistic product renderings for internal review and presentations
• Collaboration with our product team and manufacturing partners

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Strong industrial or consumer-product design portfolio
• Advanced 3D surface modeling in SolidWorks, Rhino, Alias, or comparable software
• Parametric modeling and organized, editable CAD construction
• Practical understanding of draft analysis, wall thickness, internal volume, and tolerance stack-up
• Experience designing products for injection molding or blow molding
• Understanding of plastics such as Tritan or PET
• Familiarity with stainless-steel forming, stamping, spinning, or vacuum-insulated construction
• Knowledge of silicone components, threaded parts, seals, and multi-part assemblies
• Ability to prepare clear manufacturing drawings and specifications
• Strong written English and reliable remote communication

Experience with drinkware, food-contact products, closures, consumer packaging, or injection-molded products is strongly preferred.

RENDERING AND PROTOTYPING
You should be comfortable creating realistic product renderings in KeyShot or similar software. Experience preparing files for 3D printing and evaluating physical prototypes is also important.

• Attractive designs that are comfortable and intuitive to use
• Clean CAD files that can be revised without rebuilding the entire model
• Parts designed around realistic manufacturing processes
• Accurate fit between lids, gaskets, plastic components, and metal bodies
• Clear communication about risks, tradeoffs, and recommended design changes

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

• Initial engagement: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week
• Potential to become a full-time, long-term position
• Rate: US$10 per hour
