About the Role

Elevated Audience is a boutique digital marketing agency that specializes in strategic, data-driven, and transparent campaigns. The team focuses on reaching ideal audiences through SEO, paid advertising, and website design, helping clients grow in a measurable and sustainable way. As a smaller, partner-oriented agency, Elevated Audience emphasizes long-term relationships rather than transactional engagements. Team members collaborate closely with clients, gaining deep insight into their goals and industries to deliver tailored solutions. This environment offers opportunities for ownership, impact, and professional growth in digital marketing.

Role Description

The Google Ads Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing Google Ads campaigns across search, display, and other relevant networks. Daily tasks include performing keyword research, setting up and managing campaigns, writing and testing ad copy, adjusting bids and budgets, and monitoring performance metrics. The specialist will analyze campaign data, generate reports, and make data-backed recommendations to improve click-through rates, conversion rates, and return on ad spend. Collaboration with internal team members and clients is required to align campaigns with overall marketing strategies, landing page experiences, and business objectives. The role also involves staying up to date with Google Ads best practices, new features, and platform policy changes to keep campaigns compliant and competitive.

Qualifications

Strong Google Ads expertise, including campaign setup, optimization, and performance analysis.
Proficiency in digital marketing fundamentals such as PPC strategy, keyword research, and conversion tracking.
Ability to create and refine compelling ad copy and landing page recommendations focused on user intent and conversion.
Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, dashboards) to interpret data and drive decisions.
Solid understanding of SEO, paid media, and website user experience as they relate to campaign performance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities remotely.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail in testing, tracking, and optimizing campaigns.
Previous agency experience or work with multiple client accounts is beneficial.
Relevant certification (e.g., Google Ads Certification) and a background in marketing, business, communications, or related field are preferred.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Own the Google Search book

Roughly 17 active Google Ads accounts. Campaign builds and restructures, keyword and search term management, negative keyword hygiene, ad copy testing, bid strategy selection and tuning, and Performance Max where it earns its place. You d ---------- what runs, and you are accountable for what it costs.

Own the Local Services Ads book

Ten accounts on LSA, including multi-location businesses running LSA across several service areas at once. Budget pacing, lead review and disputes, ranking factors, Google Business Profile alignment, and keeping cost per genuine lead honest rather than cost per charged lead.

Callrail Management

You are the person who sets up and maintains CallRail for every client: tracking numbers and dynamic number insertion, number pool sizing, routing and call flows, source attribution, spam filtering, and keeping the lead qualification honest. When a client's number pool is too small or their DNI is not swapping, that is yours to catch.

Google Tag Manager Setup and Maintenance

Container structure, tags, triggers, variables and the data layer. Conversion tracking setup and auditing across Google Ads, GA4 and CallRail, including offline and imported conversions. You are the one who can open a container and say why something fires twice.

Meta campaign management and creative direction (not required)

Six accounts. Campaign structure, audiences, budget and optimization, plus writing clear creative briefs for our design team and reviewing what comes back. You direct the creative, you do not build it.

Client recommendations

Explaining performance to non-marketers in plain language, and bringing a recommendation rather than a dashboard.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Real hands-on Google Ads depth. You have personally managed accounts, not directed someone who did. You know why you chose Target CPA over Maximize Conversions in a specific account, and what you did when the learning period went sideways.
Genuine LSA experience
Hands-on CallRail and GTM. Not "I've seen the dashboard." You should be able to size a number pool, diagnose DNI that is not swapping, and open a GTM container you did not build and work out what fires when.
Skepticism about data. Conversion counts inflate for boring reasons: duplicate tags, form-fill double-counting, call tracking misconfiguration, a client's team calling their own tracking number. We want someone whose first instinct on good news is to verify it.
Comfort at scale. Managing 28 campaigns means triage. You need a repeatable way to know which accounts need you this week and which do not.
Directness. If a client is spending in the wrong place, we would rather hear it from you in week two than in the quarterly review.

WHO DOES WELL HERE

Someone accountable, because there is no one between you and the spend. Someone organized enough to hold a book this size without things quietly drifting. Someone who is comfortable telling a client something they do not want to hear, and who follows it with a specific alternative.
