Medical Biller & Certified Coder (CCS)

I'm looking for an experienced Certified Medical Biller & Coder (CCS) with strong hands-on experience in medical billing, coding, claims management, and insurance follow-up. The ideal candidate is a strong biller/coder who can independently manage the billing process and ensure claims are submitted accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end medical billing and coding.
• Review patient accounts and ensure accurate billing.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage.
• Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes based on documentation.
• Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance payers.
• Review EOBs, denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
• Correct coding and billing errors and resubmit claims as needed.
• Follow up on unpaid, underpaid, and denied claims.
• Manage A/R and work aging accounts to improve collections.
• Ensure billing is completed accurately and within required timelines.
• Maintain accurate patient and billing records.
• Stay current with payer requirements and coding guidelines.
• Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and other parties regarding billing issues.

Requirements

• CCS certification required.
• Strong experience in medical billing and coding.
• Solid knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
• Hands-on experience with claims submission, denials, appeals, and A/R follow-up.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance and Medicare/Medicaid billing.
• Pain Management experience preferred, particularly with trigger point injections and spinal injections.
• Other interventional pain management procedures
• Experience working with medical billing/EHR systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage billing tasks efficiently.
