Finance & Accounting Specialist

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Specialist to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations for a growing eCommerce business.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, numbers-driven, and experienced with eCommerce finance, including multiple entities/countries, currencies, credit cards, payment platforms, and payroll.

What You’ll Do
Bookkeeping & Accounting
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
Record and reconcile transactions across bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms
Reconcile eCommerce platforms, payment processors, and other financial accounts
Track accounts payable and accounts receivable
Maintain accurate records of expenses, revenue, and business transactions
Assist with monthly financial closing and reporting
Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly

eCommerce Finance
Experience working with eCommerce / DTC businesses is strongly preferred
Understand eCommerce payment flows, including payment processors, marketplaces, refunds, fees, chargebacks, and payouts
Track revenue and expenses across multiple stores, entities, and/or countries
Understand multi-currency and multi-country accounting
Work with multiple corporate credit cards and accurately categorize and reconcile expenses

Payroll
Manage and coordinate payroll accurately and on time
Track employee compensation, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related expenses
Maintain accurate payroll records
Coordinate with relevant teams or external providers for payroll processing

Financial Reporting & Support
Prepare regular financial reports and summaries
Provide accurate financial data to management
Help monitor cash flow, expenses, and profitability
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis when needed
Assist with audits, tax documentation, and other finance-related requirements

What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, or a related role
Strong experience with eCommerce / DTC businesses
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and financial reconciliation
Experience managing multiple entities, countries, or currencies
Experience reconciling corporate credit cards and bank accounts
Payroll experience
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
Experience with accounting/bookkeeping software
Excellent attention to detail and organization
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong Plus
Experience with:
Shopify or other eCommerce platforms
Stripe, PayPal, or other payment processors
Multiple corporate credit cards
Multi-country / multi-currency setups
Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting platforms
eCommerce financial reporting

What We Need From You
We’re looking for someone who can own the numbers, not simply enter transactions.
You should be able to look at financial data, identify inconsistencies, understand where the numbers are coming from, and make sure our books are accurate, organized, and up to date.
