Ocean Export Booking Coordinator – NVOCC

US Global Shipping is looking for an experienced Ocean Export Booking Coordinator to join our team.

Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in NVOCC, freight forwarding, or ocean export operations.
Strong hands-on experience making ocean bookings with shipping lines.
Experience negotiating ocean freight rates with carriers.
Experience with major lines such as MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, Evergreen, COSCO, or ZIM.
Good knowledge of container shipping, port cutoffs, vessel schedules, and export documentation.
Experience coordinating trucking companies, container pickups/deliveries, and loading warehouses.
Able to communicate directly with customers, truckers, warehouses, and shipping lines.
Phone communication is required — this is not an email -only position.
Strong English communication and good follow-up skills.
Comfortable managing multiple shipments at the same time.
Experience with Excel, Google Workspace, carrier portals, and freight software is a plus.
Must have reliable internet and a quiet work environment.
Main Responsibilities
Request, manage, and follow up on carrier bookings.
Negotiate rates and compare carrier options.
Monitor vessel schedules and booking confirmations.
Handle booking changes, rollovers, and delays.
Coordinate trucking work orders and warehouse loading.
Monitor terminal cutoffs and container movements.
Communicate with customers and provide shipment updates.
Coordinate with the documentation team for B/L, AES, DG, and export documents.
Track shipments from booking through vessel departure.
Important

NVOCC / Ocean Export experience is required.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of shipments, make bookings, negotiate rates, make phone calls, coordinate truckers and warehouses, and solve problems without constant supervision.
