About Us

McGarr Insurance is an independent insurance agency on Florida's Treasure Coast. We primarily handle home, auto, flood, and umbrella policies with a focus on education over sales. Our clients aren't just policy numbers—they're people who deserve to understand what they're paying for. We've been growing steadily since 2019 and need another person to help our sales team keep up.

We're not a call center. You'll work directly with our team of 8, learn our clients by name, and handle real problems—not scripts.

The Role

You'll support our sales team by handling the quoting and follow-up work that eats up their time. Your job is to be the oil in the sales engine—freeing up our agents to focus on talking to clients and closing business, not chasing data entry and underwriting paperwork.

Day-to-day work includes:

Loading new clients into our management system, Applied Epic
Submitting quotes through QuoteRUSH and Epic Quotes (our comparative raters)
Following up on underwriting items and outstanding requirements
Calling carriers on behalf of our sales agents
Any other miscellaneous work that frees up the sales agents to sell

Down the line, this role may grow to include speaking with clients directly to gather information or follow up on underwriting items, and evaluating quotes across carriers in QuoteRUSH—not just submitting them, but comparing results and getting final quotes ready for our sales team to send out.

Prior Property & Casualty insurance experience is required (personal lines strongly preferred). We'll train you on carrier systems, Florida-specific processes, and our workflows. What matters most: you're detail-oriented, you communicate clearly, and you follow through.

Hours & Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern Time including a 1 hour paid lunch break. This schedule is firm—you'll need to be available during these hours to handle calls and coordinate with the team.

Compensation

$700-1,000/month depending on experience, paid via Deel. You'll be hired as an independent contractor.

What We're Looking For

Strong written and spoken English
Reliable internet and a quiet workspace for calls
Comfortable learning new software (we use Applied Epic, QuoteRUSH, Epic Quotes, carrier portals, Teams)
Detail-oriented—insurance work has zero tolerance for sloppy data entry
Communicates proactively when stuck or confused

How We Hire

We'll send some questions via the onlinejobs.ph portal, then we'll do a video interview, and if it goes well, you'll start a 2-week paid trial. During that time, you'll work alongside our team on real tasks. If it's a good fit for both sides, you're on the team. If not, no hard feelings—we'll pay you for your time and part ways.
