About the Role

Marketing Director
Location: Remote
Reports to: COO

About the Role
We're a $6.5M-revenue, B2C-focused company running on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), looking for a Marketing Director to own our marketing function end-to-end. This is a full-time leadership role replacing our outgoing fractional CMO, accountable for lead generation, strategic direction, budget, and continuous improvement of the marketing department.
You'll sit on the leadership team, own the Marketing seat in our EOS structure (Rocks, Scorecard, L10 meetings), and be accountable for translating company-wide goals into a marketing strategy and execution plan that drives B2C growth.

What You'll Do
Lead Generation & Strategy
Own lead generation to support annual revenue targets and B2C growth
Set marketing strategic direction across campaigns, messaging, and brand
Build quarterly plans based on strategic direction; identify new marketing channels and tests
Negotiate marketing agreements with partners and external resources; research and evaluate channel partners
Own annual marketing review — what's working, what's not, market trend analysis, and strategy shifts

Brand, Content & Channel Oversight
Maintain oversight of brand standards (DRM brand)
Final approval of content for email marketing/sequences, social media, blogs, and paid advertising
Determine campaign design direction for print materials and collateral; sign off on creative
Identify and approve required website updates
Oversee content creation and data clean-up/organization work

Budget & Vendor Management
Manage and optimize the marketing budget for ROA (return on ad spend); recommend and manage budget allocation
Negotiate and execute agreements with marketing resources (e.g., PPC agency, CRO)
Review incoming initiatives against budget and strategic alignment
Determine budget for ambassador program and other strategic initiatives

Tools & Technical Direction
Identify needs for new marketing tools/assets; define requirements, specs, and budget
Direct Marketing team to either source/implement solutions or bring in outside experts
Oversee backend builds, landing pages, and UX/template updates

KPIs, Scorecard & Continuous Improvement
Define quarterly marketing goals, KPIs, and success metrics; own the marketing Scorecard
Weekly monitoring of Scorecard metrics/KPIs — flag off-track metrics and recommend corrective action
Audit prior-quarter results each quarter and refine priorities (Scorecard, Rocks, etc.)
Ensure Scorecard metrics/KPIs are reported accurately at all times, using analytics tools
Final QA across marketing initiatives, channels, platforms, and vendors — own what "good" looks like, measured via demand volume, conversion rates, brand awareness, CAC, and ROI

What We're Looking For
5+ years of marketing experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership/management role
Experience owning marketing strategy and execution in a small-to-mid-size company (ideally $5M–$20M revenue range) — strategic and hands-on
B2C marketing experience, ideally including direct mail/print, ambassador or referral programs, and paid media (PPC/CRO)
Proven track record managing a marketing budget for ROA/ROI, and negotiating vendor/agency agreements
Experience managing people, including junior team members (content, data) and technical contractors
Comfort working in a company that runs on EOS — Rocks, Scorecards, L10s, accountability charts — EOS experience strongly preferred given the operating cadence of this role
Strong grasp of digital marketing fundamentals: content, email /SMS, SEO/SEM, marketing automation, and website/landing page coordination
Excellent communication skills — able to present strategy and Scorecard results clearly to leadership

Nice to Have
Experience transitioning from a fractional/consulting marketing leader into an in-house structure
Experience with direct-to-consumer channels: mailers, print, stuffers, newspaper inserts, swag/promotional campaigns
Familiarity with the specific tools and marketing tech stack currently in use: ---------- , Google Analytics, ---------- , Excel/google sheets
