Xactimator (Xactimate software expert)

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Xactimate Specialist to support our estimating and insurance claims operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing accurate estimates for restoration, reconstruction, or insurance-related projects using Xactimate.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed and accurate estimates in Xactimate for property damage, restoration, and reconstruction projects based on photos, sketches, scopes of work, and site notes.

Review project documentation, insurance scopes, and adjuster notes to identify missing items, discrepancies, or underpaid claims.

Update and revise estimates as needed to align with insurance carrier guidelines, building codes, and company standards.

Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and adjusters to clarify scope, quantities, and pricing.

Upload and manage estimates within the company’s job management or CRM system, ensuring accurate documentation and status updates.

Track estimate statuses, follow up on pending approvals, and support the team in moving claims and projects toward timely completion.

Qualifications
Proven experience as an Xactimate Specialist, Estimator, or related role in restoration, construction, or insurance claims (minimum 1–2 years preferred).

Advanced proficiency in Xactimate, including line items, macros, and sketching tools.

Strong understanding of restoration and/or construction scopes (water, fire, mold, roofing, or general reconstruction preferred).

Familiarity with U.S. building codes, insurance processes, and carrier guidelines is a strong plus.

High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Reliable computer, internet connection, and a quiet workspace suitable for remote work.
