Video & Image Ad Editor (Meta Ads) – E-Commerce Brand
Confidential employer
We are looking for a creative and reliable Ad Editor to join our growing e-commerce health & wellness brand.
Your primary responsibility will be creating and editing high-converting video and image ads for Meta (Facebook & Instagram) that stop the scroll, drive sales, and get approved by Meta's ad review.
Types of Ads You'll Create
UGC-style video ads (testimonial, product demo, unboxing, day-in-the-life)
AI UGC ads — creating realistic UGC-style content using AI avatar/creator tools (this will be a primary focus)
AI-generated ads in general — AI voiceovers, AI b-roll, AI product visuals, AI script-to-video
Static image ads (product shots, benefit callouts, testimonial graphics, us-vs-them comparisons)
Other image formats — carousels, before/after style creatives, meme-style ads, advertorial-style images
Video ad variations of winning creatives (different hooks, intros, CTAs) for testing
Main Responsibilities
Edit short-form video ads optimized for Facebook and Instagram placements
Generate AI UGC content using tools like HeyGen, Arcads, Captions, or similar
Design static and image-based ad creatives in line with our brand
Cut raw footage, UGC content, AI-generated content, and stock/b-roll into polished, engaging ads
Add captions/subtitles, text overlays, hooks, transitions, sound effects, and music
Format creatives correctly for Meta placements (9:16, 1:1, 4:5)
Ad compliance & risk management — ensure all creatives follow Meta's advertising policies to minimize rejections and account risk, including:
Avoiding prohibited claims (medical/health claims, guaranteed results, personal attributes targeting)
Keeping before/after and body-related content within Meta's health & wellness policy limits
Ensuring AI-generated content and testimonials meet Meta's standards
Flagging any risky creative angles before submission
Follow our creative briefs, brand guidelines, and ad structure (hook → problem → solution → proof → CTA)
Stay familiar with current Meta ad trends, AI creative tools, and direct-response editing styles
Deliver ads on a consistent schedule and implement revision feedback quickly
Organize and manage project files and exports
What We're Looking For
Proven experience editing direct-response or social media video ads (not just cinematic/YouTube content)
Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (AI avatars, AI voiceover, AI video generation)
Graphic design ability for static image ads (Photoshop, Canva, Figma, or similar)
Strong portfolio of short-form ads and image creatives — please include examples with your application
Proficiency in Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or similar
Working knowledge of Meta's ad policies, especially for supplements/health & wellness, and a track record of getting ads approved
Understanding of what makes ads perform: strong hooks, pacing, retention, and clear CTAs
Strong attention to detail and consistency with brand style
Fast turnaround and ability to handle multiple projects per week
Able to work independently from a creative brief without constant supervision
Fast learner who can become familiar with our product, audience, and winning ad angles
Experience with supplement/health & wellness brands, DTC e-commerce, AI UGC tools, and Meta advertising compliance is a major plus.
Important
This is intended to be a long-term position, not a temporary project. Pay is $20 per completed video ad (static/image ad rates to be discussed). As our brand continues to grow, there will be opportunities for increased volume, higher rates, and additional responsibilities.
When applying, please include:
Your previous video editing and ad creation experience
A portfolio or 3–5 examples of short-form video ads and image creatives you've made
Which AI tools you've used for UGC/ad creation (HeyGen, Arcads, etc.)
Which editing and design software you use
Your experience with Meta ad policies — have you worked with health/supplement brands and dealt with ad rejections?
Your availability and timezone
How many video ads and image ads you can realistically complete per week
Your typical turnaround time for a 30–60 second ad with one round of revisions
