Real Estate Photography Post-Production & Media VA
Confidential employer
Part-Time | Remote | Philippines
About the Business
I am a professional real estate photographer serving the South Shore Massachusetts real estate market. I photograph residential properties for real estate agents and create high-quality photography and media for their listings.
I am looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized Virtual Assistant in the Philippines to become an important part of my post-production team.
This position will initially focus heavily on photo organization, culling, quality control, coordinating with my photo editor, final image review, and delivering finished media to clients.
As you become familiar with my photography style and workflow, the position will expand into social media management and eventually new client acquisition.
IMPORTANT: This is NOT primarily a customer service or scheduling position.
I am specifically looking for someone who enjoys working with photographs, has an excellent eye for detail, and takes pride in producing polished, professional work.
PHASE 1 — PHOTO POST-PRODUCTION & QUALITY CONTROL
Your primary responsibility will be managing the workflow from completed photoshoot to finished client delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
Photo Organization
Download and organize images from each photoshoot
Create and maintain organized property folders
Rename and organize files according to my system
Keep jobs organized and moving through the production process
Photo Culling
Review large sets of real estate photographs
Select the strongest images
Remove blurry, duplicate, poorly composed, or unusable photographs
Identify images with technical problems
Make sure the final selection represents the property well
Editor Coordination
Prepare selected images for my professional photo editor
Send files to the editor/or upload to AI software
Communicate editing instructions
Track jobs through the editing process
Follow up when necessary to keep jobs on schedule
Final Quality Control
After edited photographs are returned, you will carefully review the final images for:
Correct exposure
Consistent color
White balance
Straight vertical lines
Straight horizons
Natural-looking windows
Natural-looking skies
Proper masking
Clean up grass/lawn
Remove realtor signs/cars/trash cans etc.
Editing inconsistencies
Unwanted objects or distractions
Cloning/editing errors
Image quality
Correct property
Correct image count
You will be expected to develop a strong understanding of my specific photography and editing standards.
Final Touch-Ups
As your skills develop, you may also perform minor Photoshop/Lightroom touch-ups and corrections before delivery.
Major creative edits will continue to be handled by my professional editor.
Final Media Delivery
Prepare completed galleries
Confirm that all required media is included
Upload/finalize galleries
Deliver finished photography to clients
Confirm that the job is complete
Maintain accurate job-status records
PHASE 2 — SOCIAL MEDIA
Once you are fully trained and consistently producing excellent post-production work, your responsibilities will expand into social media.
You may help with:
Instagram posts
Instagram Reels
Facebook posts
Stories
Before/after content
Just Listed content
Behind-the-scenes content
Property photography showcases
Writing captions
Creating graphics in Canva
Scheduling posts
Repurposing one property shoot into multiple pieces of content
The goal will be to turn the photography I am already creating into consistent, professional social media content.
PHASE 3 — NEW CLIENT ACQUISITION
As you become very familiar with my business, brand, photography and ideal clients, the role may eventually expand into marketing and lead generation.
Responsibilities may include:
Researching local real estate agents
Building an agent prospect database
Identifying high-volume agents
Finding new agents and growing teams
Researching brokerages
Tracking potential clients
Creating prospect lists
Following up with potential clients
Helping develop personalized outreach
Tracking leads and results
This will be a later-stage responsibility. The first priority is mastering the photography workflow.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
I am looking for someone who is:
Extremely detail-oriented
Organized
Reliable
Self-motivated
A fast learner
Comfortable working independently
Excellent at written English
Comfortable communicating through email /chat
Tech savvy
Interested in photography
Able to recognize good vs. bad photography
Patient enough to review hundreds of images carefully
Comfortable learning Lightroom and Photoshop
Experienced with Canva
Comfortable with Google Drive and Google Sheets
Photography experience is a BIG plus.
Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:
Real estate photography
Real estate media
Lightroom
Photoshop
Photo culling
Photo editing
Image QA/QC
Professional photography
Matterport
Floor plans
Drone photography
You do not need to be an expert in everything listed above. I am willing to train the right person.
What I cannot easily teach is attention to detail, reliability, good judgment and having a good photographic eye.
HOURS
Initially, this will be a part-time position, approximately 5-12 hours per week.
The schedule will need to provide some overlap with Eastern Time (Massachusetts) business hours, although much of the work can be completed independently.
There is potential for increased hours and responsibility as the business grows and you become more proficient.
LONG-TERM OPPORTUNITY
I am looking for someone who wants to become a long-term member of my business, not someone looking for a short-term VA position.
My goal is to build a workflow where I can focus on:
PHOTOGRAPHING → BUILDING CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS → GROWING THE BUSINESS
while you eventually manage:
PHOTO WORKFLOW → QA → EDITOR COORDINATION → FINAL DELIVERY → SOCIAL MEDIA → LEAD GENERATION
The right person will have the opportunity to take on significantly more responsibility as the business grows.
