Business Development and Outreach Assistant
Duties
Research and build prospect lists of independently owned "third place" businesses in the Northeast: bars, breweries, cinemas, gyms, bookstores, salons, barbershops, bowling alleys, escape rooms, community venues
Direct outreach to those owners to book introductory calls, using a defined message cadence
Outreach to trade associations, guilds, chambers, and peer groups for referral partnerships and workshop collaborations
Filling seats for scheduled workshops, including follow-up with registrants and no-shows
Podcast research and guest pitching to regional and small business shows
Follow-up with existing referral network for introductions and workshop attendees
Maintaining outreach records and reporting weekly on conversations booked and calls scheduled
Required Skills
Written English strong enough to draft outreach email s that read as personal, not templated
Prospect research using web sources, business directories, and LinkedIn
Following a defined outreach cadence without needing reminders
Taking direct feedback and adjusting quickly
Comfort working independently between check-ins
Qualifications
Prior B2B outreach or appointment setting experience
CRM experience, HubSpot currently in use but may be changed soon
Comfortable working with a one-person business where process gets built as you go rather than handed to you
Apps | Tools
Google Workspace, HubSpot, LinkedIn, Luma, Zoom, Slack or equivalent
