Short-Form Video Editor

TikTok / Reels / Food & Product Content

I am a full time content creator looking for a video editor to help edit short-form videos for TikTok, INstagram Reels, and other social platforms.

Most video are 15-60 seconds and feature food, recipes, kitchen products, beauty, home, and lifestyle products.

I will provide raw footage, voiceover when needed, and an editing playbook with examples of my editing style. The most IMPORTANT skill I'm looking for is GOOD VISUAL JUDGMENT. You need to be able to look through raw footage and recognize the best shots - satisfying food shots, beautiful product shots, movement, texture, transformations, reactions, and the moments that make someone want to keep watching.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Organize raw footage into simple categories so clips can be quickly reused
2. Review editing brief
3. Take raw footage and select the strongest clips
4. Turn B-Roll into a clear visual story
5. Edit footage to match a voiceover or concept
6. Create strong opening sequences and visual hooks
7. Follow my Playbook editing examples and overall editing styles
8. Deliver clean vertical videos ready for TikTok/Reels

PAID EDITING TRIAL REQUIRED

If your application looks like a potential fit, I will send you a dropbox folder containing real raw footage from one of my food videos along with instructions from my editing playbook.

You will be paid to create one trial video from the footage.

This is important: YOU will choose the clips yourself. I want to see your editing instincts, pacing, storytelling, and ability to identify the strongest footage.

If our editing styles are a good match, I we will move forward.

When applying, please send me 3 examples of short-form video YOU personally edited. Preferred example Categories are: Food, products, UGC, lifestyle, TikTok Shop, or Meta Ad Reels.

I am not looking for highly produced or effects-heavy videos. Once familiar with my style of content, I expect an experienced editor to be able to complete approximately 3-5 videos per hour. Compensation will be based on demonstrated editing quality, speed, and ability to work independently.
