About the Role

We’re looking for a highly organized, resourceful Content Operations Manager to own the day-to-day content pipeline for a fast-growing personal brand and online education company.

This is less of a traditional “social media strategist” role and more of a content project manager + implementer.

We already have editors, existing content, established brand messaging, sales initiatives, AI tools, and systems for generating ideas and copy.

What we need is someone who can take all of those moving pieces and make sure content actually gets created, approved, published, and used to grow the audience and support the business — every single day.

The primary goal of this role is simple:

Make sure the content machine runs even when the founder isn't personally running it.

What You'll Own

Content Pipeline Management

You will own the content calendar and production pipeline across multiple social media accounts.

You'll make sure we're consistently publishing approximately 3–5 pieces of content per day, which may include:

  • Clips from podcasts, interviews, trainings, Lives, and long-form content
  • Re-edited or repurposed existing content
  • “Fan edit” / personality-driven edits
  • Educational posts and carousels
  • Promotional and direct-response content
  • Trend-based or timely content
  • Occasional newly created content
  • Content for secondary brand accounts

You are not expected to personally edit every piece.

Instead, you'll identify what needs to be created, assign work to editors, track it through completion, gather assets and feedback, and make sure everything gets posted.

Daily Instagram Stories

A major responsibility of this role is making sure sales-focused Instagram Stories go live every day.

Stories should consistently move followers toward actions such as:

  • Applying to work with the company
  • Joining a program
  • Watching a training
  • Registering for an event
  • Responding to a CTA
  • Engaging with a current campaign

We have custom AI tools, existing messaging, testimonials, offers, and campaign materials that can help generate the copy.

You'll be responsible for using those resources to turn the strategy into polished, on-brand Stories in Canva and getting them published.

You do not need to be an elite copywriter, but you should understand basic direct-response marketing and be comfortable using AI thoughtfully rather than simply copying and pasting whatever it produces.

Editor & Team Coordination

You'll act as the central point of contact between the founder, editors, and the sales/marketing team.

This includes:

  • Assigning content to editors
  • Providing clear briefs, references, hooks, and source footage
  • Tracking deadlines
  • Following up when projects are stalled
  • Organizing revisions
  • Making sure completed edits don't disappear into Slack or a Drive folder
  • Knowing what sales initiative we're currently prioritizing
  • Translating promotions and launches into content needs
  • Maintaining a backlog of content so we're not creating from zero every morning

If the sales team says, “We need more applications this week,” your job is to help turn that into an actionable content plan.

Lightweight Content Creation

You should be comfortable creating simple content yourself when necessary.

Examples include:

  • Canva carousels
  • Quote graphics
  • Instagram Stories
  • Simple Reel edits
  • Text overlays
  • Basic montage or fan-style edits
  • Resizing existing assets
  • Repurposing existing posts
  • Pulling clips or assets from existing content

You do not need to be an advanced video editor or motion graphics designer.

We care much more about speed, taste, resourcefulness, and consistency.

Publishing & Quality Control

You will help ensure content is:

  • Posted on schedule
  • Correctly formatted for each platform
  • Captioned appropriately
  • Using the correct CTA
  • Tagged and linked correctly
  • Visually consistent with the brand
  • Free of obvious errors
  • Supporting current business priorities

The standard is not perfection.

The standard is high-quality content consistently going live.

Content Performance

You'll monitor basic performance and help us learn from what's working.

You should be able to identify things like:

  • Which hooks are outperforming
  • Which topics drive applications or leads
  • Which formats get shared
  • Which posts generate follower growth
  • Which Stories generate clicks, replies, or conversions

From there, you'll help us create more iterations of what is already working.

What Success Looks Like

You're succeeding in this role when:

  • 3–5 pieces of content are consistently publishing every day
  • Sales-focused Instagram Stories are publishing every day
  • The founder does not have to personally project-manage the content pipeline
  • Editors always know what they're working on next
  • There is a healthy backlog of upcoming content
  • Promotions and sales initiatives are consistently supported by organic content
  • Great footage and ideas aren't getting lost because nobody followed up on them
  • The best-performing content gets identified and replicated
  • The founder's involvement is increasingly concentrated on creating, performing, and making high-level creative decisions rather than chasing deliverables

You Might Be Great for This Role If...

You're:

  • Extremely organized
  • Fast-moving and proactive
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good at following up with people
  • Comfortable holding editors accountable to deadlines
  • Strong in Canva
  • Capable of making simple video edits
  • Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, and short-form content
  • Familiar with ChatGPT and/or Claude
  • Able to learn and use established AI prompts, agents, and workflows
  • Comfortable working inside project-management systems
  • Familiar with Google Drive and Slack
  • Detail-oriented without becoming paralyzed by perfectionism
  • Able to recognize what looks polished, modern, and native to social media
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

Bonus points if you understand:

  • Direct-response marketing
  • Personal brands
  • Online education businesses
  • Creator businesses
  • Instagram Story selling
  • Content repurposing
  • Short-form video analytics

This Role Is NOT

This is not primarily a:

  • High-level video editor position
  • Graphic designer position
  • Copywriter position
  • Sales setter position
  • Community manager position

Those skills are helpful, but your superpower should be making sure things get done and go live.

We're looking for the person who sees 15 pieces of unfinished content spread across Slack, Google Drive, Canva, and multiple editors and thinks:

“Perfect. I'll organize this.”
