Part-Time Python Developer (some geolocation/mapping experience a plus)
Confidential employer
Looking for a part time Python developer to help me finish an MVP for a small SaaS app I run. It's used by professional consultants in the property/planning industry in Australia.
Main things you'd be doing: working on the Python backend (Flask), hooking up a few external APIs (mapping, address lookup, some government data sources), fixing bugs and helping clean up an existing data pipeline. I'll give you clear, scoped tasks, you won't need to design the product yourself.
I'm looking for someone junior to mid level, not senior. You don't need years of experience, just need to write decent code and work through a task on your own once you understand it. Any past exposure to geolocation, GIS, or address/geocoding APIs is a nice plus but not required. Should be comfortable with git and github basics.
This is part time, ongoing work, not a single fixed project. Hours are flexible. Paid hourly.
When you apply, tell me a bit about a Python project you've built before, even a small one, and what part of it was hardest for you.
