About the Role

Hours: Around 10 hours per week initially, with scope to increase as the role develops.

Pay: US$8/hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability, with scope for increases hourly to $10 etc as
responsibilities and hours grow.

About the Role

I’m a UK entrepreneur building an aeroponic indoor farming business focused on two commercial areas:
supplying premium microgreens and micro herbs to B2B customers, and developing opportunities to sell
commercial aeroponic growing units to businesses. I’m looking for a highly organised, proactive and personable
assistant who can work closely with me as a long-term right-hand person.

The role will be approximately 50% Executive/Personal Assistant and 50�BBusiness Development &
Sales Support. I need someone who is equally comfortable researching a flight or making a personal booking as
they are researching a potential wholesale customer, making a professional cold call and arranging a meeting.
1. Personal & Executive Assistant Responsibilities

  • Research and book the best-value flights, hotels and transport.
  • Plan travel itineraries and organise travel confirmations and documents.
  • Book restaurants, activities, appointments, accommodation and events.
  • Manage calendar items, reminders and follow-ups.
  • Research personal purchases, products and services and compare the best options.
  • Help organise personal payments, subscriptions and renewals.
  • Contact companies by phone or email to make bookings, chase requests or resolve issues.
  • Keep personal administration organised and take ownership of day-to-day tasks so I don’t have to.

2. B2B Business Development – Microgreens & Micro Herbs

  • Research and build targeted lists of potential wholesale customers.
  • Prospect produce wholesalers, foodservice distributors, caterers, hotels and hospitality groups, airlines and

aviation caterers, restaurants and chefs, retailers and other suitable B2B buyers.

  • Identify buyers, procurement contacts and decision-makers, including direct email s and phone numbers where

possible.

  • Draft personalised cold email s and follow-up messages.
  • Make outbound calls, introduce the business professionally and speak confidently with prospects.
  • Qualify interest and arrange meetings for me with potential wholesale partners.
  • Follow up consistently and keep opportunities moving.

3. B2B Business Development – Commercial Aeroponic Units

  • Find potential customers and partners for commercial indoor aeroponic farming units.
  • Research farms and agricultural businesses looking for diversification, hotels and hospitality groups, food

businesses, wholesalers, caterers and other organisations that could operate their own commercial growing unit.

  • Identify decision-makers and initiate outreach by phone and email .
  • Arrange qualified meetings and maintain follow-up until I take over the commercial discussion.
  • Research new customer categories and markets as the business develops.

4. Supplier & Pipeline Management

  • Help maintain relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and other commercial partners.
  • Request information, quotations and updates and follow up when required.
  • Maintain a clear spreadsheet or CRM containing leads, contacts, conversations, next actions and follow-up

dates.

  • Keep me updated on priority leads and outstanding actions.
  • Work closely with me: I will lead important negotiations and commercial conversations, while you help find

opportunities, open doors, arrange meetings and keep the pipeline moving.
Core Requirements

  • Excellent spoken and written English — essential.
  • Confident, friendly and professional on the phone.
  • Comfortable making outbound B2B calls and speaking with decision-makers.
  • Strong B2B lead-generation, prospecting and internet research ability.
  • Able to find relevant companies, correct contacts, email s and phone numbers.
  • Able to write clear, personalised B2B outreach email s.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable handling confidential personal and business information.
  • Able to work independently, solve problems and take ownership.
  • Comfortable using or learning Yolla or similar VoIP calling software.
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace, spreadsheets and CRM-style lead tracking.
  • Able to use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity intelligently.
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet environment for professional calls.

Preferred Experience
Experience in executive assistance, personal assistance, appointment setting, lead generation, sales
development (SDR), customer support, cold calling, travel planning, B2B sales support or CRM management is
highly desirable. Experience in food, hospitality, agriculture, wholesale or foodservice is a bonus, but not
essential.
Paid Trial & Application
Shortlisted applicants will complete a small paid practical trial covering travel research, B2B lead research, a
sample cold email and a short live conversation so I can assess spoken English and phone manner.
