About the Role

COMPENSATION: This is a per-video position, paid according to the length of each video, with real room to grow. These are trial / first-video rates - once you've proven your style, reliability, and turnaround, your per-video rate increases, and strong performers also earn performance bonuses and steady, growing volume.

Starting rates:
10–15 minutes: $15 per video
16–25 minutes: $20 per video
26–35 minutes: $25 per video
60–80 minute features: from $45 per video (priced per project, as these are much larger)

Applicants seeking significantly higher starting compensation may still apply, but priority will be given to editors who are excited to start at these rates and grow with us long-term.

EXPECTED WORKLOAD: We are looking for an editor who can grow into a steady output of long-form videos. We'll start at approximately 8 videos per month while we learn each other's workflow, with the goal of scaling toward 12-18 per month as we build a consistent rhythm. We care more about retention and quality than raw volume - the exact workload will depend on channel needs and how the collaboration develops.

ABOUT US: We operate multiple faceless YouTube channels focused on: True-Crime, History, Forgotten Wealth, Dark Economics, Geopolitics, Forbidden Commodities, Business History, and Documentary Storytelling. We are looking for a skilled editor who understands YouTube's viewer retention and can transform a script and voice-over into an engaging documentary-style video.

IMPORTANT: This position is NOT for basic video editing. We're looking for editors who can build engaging documentary-style videos by combining storytelling, research, footage sourcing, graphics, music, and pacing - the difference between a slideshow and a film.

Our aim is for every video to feel like a highly-produced, cinematic Netflix-style documentary - polished, immersive, and gripping from the first second to the last.

WHAT WE PROVIDE: For each video, we will provide:
1. Complete script
2. Voice-over recording
3. Reference YouTube video(s)
4. A channel style guide / template so your work stays on-brand and consistent

2. Source relevant stock footage, photos, maps, graphics, animations, and B-roll
3. Source and add background music and sound effects that fit the tone
4. Ensure every asset you use - footage, images, music, and sound effects - is properly licensed and safe for YouTube monetization (no copyright-claimed or restricted material)
5. Add text, motion graphics, zooms, transitions, and visual storytelling elements
6. Follow the editing style of our reference videos and channel template.
*Important Note: Because our channels cover real people and events, use only the clips and on-screen source citations we provide - keep sources visible where instructed, and never re-upload anyone's full video*
7. Deliver projects on schedule
8. Revise videos based on time-stamped feedback when necessary (we review edits on ---------- )

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Strong experience editing long-form YouTube videos
2. Excellent storytelling and pacing skills
3. Ability to keep viewers engaged throughout long-form content
4. Proficiency with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
5. Ability to independently source visuals and assets
6. A clear understanding of copyright and monetization safety - all footage, images, music, and sound effects must be cleared for commercial use so our videos are never demonetized or copyright-claimed.
7. Reliable communication and attention to detail
8. Good English comprehension
