Carnes Agency is growing, and we are looking for a full-time Social Media Manager & Content Designer to join our small, collaborative team.

This is a long-term contract position for someone who loves both social media and graphic design and wants to become an important part of a fast-paced boutique agency.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on social media role with a strong focus on visual content creation.

You will help develop and manage client social media calendars, write captions, create graphics and carousels in Canva, edit Reels and short-form videos, and schedule content in Cloud Campaign.

Strong graphic design skills are essential.

We are looking for someone who genuinely loves design and has a strong visual eye. You should understand typography, layout, composition, spacing, imagery, and brand consistency.

You must also be comfortable working across multiple client brands and following established branding guidelines.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

• Building and maintaining client social media calendars
• Developing content ideas
• Writing and editing social media captions
• Creating static graphics and carousels in Canva
• Creating and editing Reels and short-form video content
• Applying client branding consistently across all creative
• Sourcing appropriate images and visual assets
• Scheduling content in Cloud Campaign
• Reviewing scheduled posts for accuracy
• Making revisions based on client and team feedback
• Supporting campaigns, events, announcements, and timely content
• Supporting Carnes Agency social media as needed

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong graphic design skills
• Advanced Canva experience
• A portfolio showing polished social media and graphic design work
• Previous social media management experience
• Experience developing social media calendars
• Strong social media writing and editing skills
• Experience creating Reels or short-form videos
• Strong understanding of branding and visual consistency
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and spoken English
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
• Ability to receive feedback and make revisions quickly
• Reliable, proactive communication
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team

Experience with Cloud Campaign, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, CapCut, or similar tools is a plus.

Previous agency experience and experience working with U.S.-based clients are also a plus.

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time contract position requiring 40 hours per week.

You must be available to work on Eastern Time (ET).

Your daily shift may begin anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. ET, followed by your regular eight-hour workday.

For example:

8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET
10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET

You should be able to maintain a consistent schedule and be available during normal working hours for collaboration, meetings, feedback, and client needs.

COMPENSATION

The starting compensation for this position is $250 USD per week, paid weekly.

After the first 60 days, we will conduct a performance and compensation review. At that time, you may be eligible for an increase in weekly compensation based on the quality and consistency of your work, graphic design and social media skills, reliability, communication, ability to apply feedback, and overall contribution to the Carnes Agency team.
