Hi! I’m looking for a long-term video editor for my growing YouTube channel, The Glow Trials.
The channel focuses on beauty, wellness, skincare, self-experiments, and research-based “glow-up” content. Videos combine personal storytelling with before/afters, experiments, scientific research, and lifestyle footage.
I’m looking for someone who can grow with the channel and eventually become my regular editor.

Workload
Approximately 8 long-form videos per month
Usually 15–25 minutes finished
Occasionally longer videos
Consistent ongoing work for the right person
All videos delivered in 4K / 3840×2160
Starting Budget $50 per standard video / approximately $400 per month for 8 videos
I’m open to increasing this toward $600/month as we establish a good workflow and depending on editing quality, complexity, and consistency.
I’m looking for a long-term relationship rather than a one-time project.

What I Need From You
I will send you the raw talking-head footage.
I don't want to make a rough cut myself first.
The raw footage may contain:
repeated takes
mistakes
pauses
tangents
sections that need to be shortened
multiple versions of the same sentence
You should be comfortable watching the raw footage, choosing the strongest takes, removing unnecessary material while keeping funny/personality moments and creating a well-paced story.
A 20-minute finished video may come from significantly more raw footage.

You would also handle:
Cutting and tightening talking-head footage
B-roll and appropriate stock footage
Screenshots and research visuals
Motion graphics
Text callouts
Punch-ins / zooms when appropriate
Music and sound effects
Before/after photos and comparison visuals
Final 4K export
I will provide any personal footage, experiment footage, before/after photos, research documents, and specific assets that are necessary.

Editing Style
The style should feel:
Clean · Feminine · personable · Polished · Pretty
I want engaging editing, but I do not want hyperactive editing with constant effects, meme inserts, excessive captions, or unnecessary transitions. (some fun stuff is good)
The editing should support the story rather than distract from it.
Think polished beauty/wellness/lifestyle YouTube rather than gaming or MrBeast-style editing.

Very Important:
Because you will be editing my raw talking-head footage, strong English comprehension is required.
You need to understand what I am saying well enough to decide:
which take is strongest
what information is repetitive
what can be removed
what needs to stay for the story to make sense
You should also have reliable enough internet and computer hardware to download and edit large 4K video files.
