Video Editor - YouTube Long-Form + Shorts (Ongoing Monthly Retainer)

We run an acquisition agency and we're scaling two YouTube channels with the same format. We need one editor who can hold a consistent standard, week in week out, on an ongoing basis. This is not a one-off gig.

WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING

Two brands, one format, so you learn the style once and apply it to both.

16 long-form YouTube videos per month. Capped at 15 minutes, usually 10 to 12.
Up to 60 shorts per month, cut from those long-forms and from raw clips we send, formatted for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

Expect around 13 to 15 hours a week.

Only two video types:

Lifestyle / story videos — talking head with B-roll cutaways
Technical breakdowns — screen recordings of real dashboards and numbers, composited cleanly

Same template every time. Once you've learned it, it's repeatable work.

WHAT YOU GET FROM US

PAY

Monthly retainer, paid on time, every time. No chasing, no invoicing battles.

16 long-form + up to 30 shorts = $400/month
16 long-form + up to 60 shorts = $550/month (this is where we're starting)
16 long-form + up to 90 shorts = $700/month

The long-form count is steady at 16. The shorts are what moves, so you get paid for the tier you actually deliver. We start at $550 and you move up the moment the volume does. We are not going to argue about it or make you ask twice. Payment by Wise, PayPal, or whatever works for you.

PAID TRIAL

Before any ongoing arrangement we pay $15 to $25 for one trial edit on a real video, 48 hour turnaround. We do not ask anyone to work for free.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

A reel, or 3 recent long-form videos you edited start to finish
Ability to composite screen recordings and screenshots cleanly. This is most of the technical videos, so it matters more than anything else on this list
Genuinely fast at cutting vertical shorts out of long-form. This is a big chunk of the volume, so speed here counts
First cut within 48 hours
Consistency. Available every week, ongoing

SOFTWARE: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut or CapCut. We don't mind which, we care about the output.
