Operations Manager / Social Media Expert
Confidential employer
We are building an ambitious company at the intersection of luxury fashion, motion pictures, and music and are looking for an exceptional operations manager lead to work directly with the founder.
This is not an executive assistant position.
We need someone who can understand a large creative and business vision, see how dozens of moving pieces connect, establish priorities, and ensure multiple teams are moving toward the same objective.
The company operates across three core businesses:
Luxury Fashion
Film & Entertainment
Music
These are separate businesses, but they are being built as parts of one interconnected cultural world. A film can connect to a collection. Music can connect to a film. Content, campaigns, events, partnerships, and releases can all reinforce one another.
We need someone who can see the entire board.
What You’ll Do
You will work directly with the founder to:
Translate vision and ideas into clear priorities and execution plans
Maintain a master roadmap across fashion, film, music, content, events, and company initiatives
Coordinate different teams and ensure projects do not develop in isolation
Track deliverables, owners, deadlines, dependencies, and outstanding decisions
Run regular project and leadership check-ins
Follow up relentlessly and make sure decisions become action
Identify problems, conflicts, and delays before they reach the founder
Maintain continuity across creative and business decisions
Organize company strategy, documentation, and institutional knowledge
Determine what requires founder involvement and what can move forward independently
Connect opportunities across different parts of the company
Build systems and processes as the organization grows
Help protect the founder's time and attention
You will have visibility into nearly everything being built.
Who We’re Looking For
You are extremely organized, but you are not simply a project manager.
You think strategically. You can understand why something matters, how it connects to the larger vision, and what downstream consequences a decision might create.
You have strong creative instincts and genuine interest in fashion, cinema, music, culture, storytelling, and brand building.
You are comfortable working with a founder who moves quickly, generates a high volume of ideas, and is deeply involved in the creative direction of the company.
Most importantly, you are someone who takes ownership. When an objective is established, you don't wait to be told every individual step required to accomplish it.
Ideal Experience
Experience in one or more of the following would be valuable:
Chief of Staff / Founder’s Office
Entertainment or film development
Luxury fashion
Music / record labels
Media companies
Creative agencies
Production
Brand strategy
Founder-led startups
You do not need to be an expert in fashion, film, and music simultaneously.
You do need to be intellectually curious enough to understand all three and eventually see how they fit together.
What Success Looks Like
Within 30 days, you should understand the company's vision, major projects, teams, priorities, deadlines, and current bottlenecks.
Within 60-90 days, the founder should be able to communicate an objective to you and trust that you can help turn it into an organized plan across the appropriate teams.
Long term, there is an opportunity for this person to grow into a significant leadership position across the overall company.
To Apply
Please answer the following:
Tell us about a time you worked directly with a founder, CEO, creative director, showrunner, or similarly fast-moving leader. What did you actually own?
Imagine you are coordinating a fashion collection, feature film, soundtrack, and marketing campaign over the same six-month period. How would you organize everything?
Tell us about a project where you coordinated multiple teams or disciplines. What went wrong, and how did you handle it?
What founder-led company or creative institution do you believe has done an exceptional job building across multiple areas of culture? Why?
Why does this role specifically interest you?
We care significantly more about how you think than perfectly polished answers.
Engagement
We are looking to begin on a contract basis, with the potential to develop into a substantial long-term leadership role for the right person.
This position requires genuine availability and commitment. We are not looking for someone juggling a large roster of unrelated clients.
We are looking for someone who wants to go deep, understand the vision, take ownership, and help build something from the ground up.
