AI Film Editor – Cinematic YouTube Channel
Confidential employer
We are looking for a talented AI Film Editor to work on an ongoing cinematic YouTube project.
We are producing original fictional crime/thriller films designed to look and feel like professionally shot live-action Hollywood productions.
This is NOT cartoon animation, anime, 3D animation, or obviously AI-generated content.
Our goal is photorealistic, cinematic storytelling with realistic characters, environments, camera movement, lighting, atmosphere, depth and professional sound design.
What We Will Provide
For each project, you will receive:
Completed story/script
ElevenLabs narration/voiceover
Photorealistic still images
Detailed Google Flow/Veo motion prompts
Scene order/storyboard
Creative direction and references
You will not be responsible for writing the stories or developing the main concepts.
Your Responsibilities
You will take the supplied production materials and turn them into a polished cinematic film.
This includes:
Generate/animate supplied images using Google Flow/Veo
Follow our provided motion and cinematic instructions
Create believable, photorealistic human movement
Maintain character and location consistency
Assemble approximately 12–18 minute cinematic films
Synchronise scenes accurately with the supplied narration
Professional video editing and pacing
Cinematic sound design
Suspenseful background music
Realistic environmental ambience
Clean, professional transitions
CCTV/security-camera effects when required
Evidence, timestamp or investigative graphics when required
Colour and visual consistency throughout the film
Remove/minimise obvious AI artefacts
Deliver 5 vertical short-form videos from each main film
Deliver 1 separate cinematic trailer/teaser
The Shorts will be approximately 20–60 seconds and used across YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels.
They must have strong hooks and create curiosity without revealing the entire story or major twist.
The separate trailer will generally be approximately 15–30 seconds and should build anticipation for the upcoming film.
Visual Standard
This is extremely important.
We want the finished videos to look as though they were filmed with real actors and professional cinema cameras.
Think:
Dark Hollywood crime thriller.
Photorealistic live-action.
Cinematic lighting.
Realistic human movement.
Atmospheric environments.
Strong depth and composition.
Professional sound design.
Controlled, suspenseful editing.
We do not want cheesy horror effects, excessive transitions, cartoon visuals, unrealistic AI movement or obvious AI-generated video.
Attention to detail and realism are extremely important.
Software Requirements
You must already have your own access to Tools.
You must also have your own professional video-editing software and any other software necessary to complete the work.
Software/subscription costs will not be provided.
Please tell us which editing software and AI tools you currently use when applying.
Music & Copyright
All music, sound effects and other third-party assets used must be properly licensed or copyright-safe for commercial, monetised YouTube and social-media content.
You must be able to confirm that the assets you use are suitable for commercial use.
Weekly Workflow
This is a per-project position, not hourly employment.
Our intended weekly workflow is:
Monday: Full production package provided.
Wednesday/Thursday: First complete version delivered.
Thursday/Friday: Feedback/revisions provided if necessary.
Friday/Saturday: Final approved film and short-form content delivered.
Sunday: Content is published by us.
You will not be responsible for uploading or managing our YouTube/social-media accounts.
Reliable turnaround is essential.
Deliverables Per Project
Each standard weekly package will normally include:
1 × 12–18 minute cinematic film
5 × 20–60 second vertical Shorts/Reels/TikToks
1 × 15–30 second cinematic trailer
Plus revisions where reasonably necessary to reach the agreed standard.
Pay
$100–$200 USD per completed project/package, depending on experience, quality and capability.
We are looking for someone we can work with long-term.
Initially, we intend to produce approximately one main film per week.
There is potential for the per-project rate to increase as the channel grows.
There may also be significantly more regular work available in the future as we expand and potentially operate multiple YouTube channels.
We want someone interested in growing with us rather than completing only one project.
Paid Test
We will shortlist approximately 2–3 strong applicants.
Shortlisted applicants may be invited to complete the same paid 1-minute cinematic test sequence.
We will provide the narration, images, Flow/Veo motion prompts and creative direction.
This allows us to compare:
Photorealism
Flow/Veo ability
Cinematic quality
Character consistency
Camera movement
AI artefact control
Editing
Pacing
Sound design
Atmosphere
Attention to detail
The test is intended to be paid.
Bonus Skill
YouTube thumbnail design is a bonus but NOT a requirement.
Excellent video/AI filmmaking ability is more important.
Communication
You must have strong written English, follow detailed instructions accurately and communicate reliably during the production week.
Initial communication will take place through OnlineJobs.ph.
For the successful long-term editor, we expect to eventually move day-to-day communication to WhatsApp.
How to Apply
Please start your application with the word:
CINEMA
Applications that do not begin with this word may not be considered.
Then provide:
A short introduction about yourself and your experience.
Links to your 2–3 best and most relevant pieces of work.
Examples of photorealistic AI-generated video, especially cinematic/live-action work.
Confirm whether you currently have your own Google Flow/Veo access.
Tell us which video-editing software you use.
Tell us which other AI video/image tools you regularly use.
Your typical turnaround time for a project of this size.
Your proposed price within the $100–$200 USD per-project range.
Any experience producing YouTube Shorts, TikToks or Instagram Reels.
Any experience with cinematic sound design.
Please do not send cartoon, anime or generic AI-animation portfolios unless you also have relevant photorealistic work.
We are specifically looking for someone capable of creating convincing cinematic live-action-style AI films.
