Part Time Video Editor & Content Specialist

1. ABOUT THE ROLE
Kipkeh Media is an expanding US media network driven by a culture of operational excellence and top-tier standards. We are looking for an exceptionally sharp, high-performing Video Editor to join our fast-growing remote team.
This role is heavily focused on producing high-retention long-form videos for YouTube, as well as repurposing that content into fast-paced, high-engagement clips for our WhatsApp status channel. 2. WHAT YOU’LL DO
Edit compelling long-form videos for our YouTube channel optimized for high retention and viewer engagement.
Extract, cut, and reframe core highlights into vertical video formats optimized specifically for WhatsApp Status and short-form content.
Add engaging graphic overlays, motion graphics, captions, sound effects, and audio balancing.
Handle rapid-turnaround requests efficiently without sacrificing core quality standards.
Organize and manage project files to ensure smooth media workflows and fast delivery turnarounds.
3. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Mastery of professional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro) and basic motion design (After Effects).
Strong understanding of YouTube pacing, hooks, retention mechanics, and visual storytelling.
Deep understanding of vertical short-form video dynamics (captions, framing, quick cuts, text placement).
Strong audio editing and color-grading capabilities.
Ability to follow brand guidelines while bringing creative, high-converting editing ideas to the table.
4. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver high-quality long-form YouTube edits on a consistent weekly schedule.
Repurpose long-form cuts into bite-sized, high-impact WhatsApp Status clips daily/weekly.
Implement feedback quickly and maintain consistent file organization across all projects.
Execute fast-turnaround edits under tight deadlines when urgent footage drops.
5. KEY REQUIREMENTS
Hardware: Workstation with a minimum of 16GB RAM (or explicit documentation showing upgrade capability).
Connectivity: High-speed primary internet connection plus an active backup connection.
Power Redundancy: Dedicated backup power setup (UPS, Power Station, or Generator) to guarantee uninterrupted output.
Environment: Quiet, dedicated home workspace.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
Schedule: Part-Time (20 hours per week, flexible schedule with fixed deadlines).
Compensation: $5.00 – $7.00 USD / hour (Based on experience and portfolio strength).
