Experienced Amazon Online Arbitrage Product Sourcer — Keepa + SellerAmp Required

Type: Part-Time with potential to become Full-Time
Hours: 20 hours per week
Starting Pay: $7–$8 USD/hour, based on demonstrated experience
Location: Remote —
Position: Long-term for the right person

About the Role

Arkadia Arbitrage is a U.S.-based ecommerce business looking for a highly experienced Amazon Online Arbitrage Product Sourcer.

This is not an entry-level Amazon VA position and it is not a general ecommerce assistant role.

Your primary responsibility will be simple:

Find legitimate, profitable, purchase-ready inventory opportunities for our Amazon FBA business.

We are specifically looking for someone who already knows how to source independently using tools such as Keepa, Revseller and SellerAmp SAS, and who understands the difference between a product that looks profitable at first glance and an opportunity that is actually safe and sensible to purchase.

You should already be comfortable analyzing:

  • Keepa price and Buy Box history
  • Sales velocity
  • Amazon sales rank / BSR
  • Seller competition
  • FBA seller counts
  • Price stability
  • ROI and net profit
  • Amazon presence on a listing
  • Variations and pack counts
  • Exact product matching
  • UPC / model number verification
  • Purchase limits and available quantity
  • Seller eligibility / restrictions
  • Potential IP or listing risks

This position is focused specifically on Amazon FBA sourcing. Walmart, eBay, customer service, listing management, and general administrative work are not part of this role.

What You Will Do

You will use online arbitrage sourcing strategies to identify profitable products from legitimate U.S. retailers and suppliers.

Sourcing methods may include:

  • Manual sourcing
  • Reverse sourcing
  • Storefront stalking
  • Brand sourcing
  • Retailer sourcing
  • Keepa Product Finder
  • Category and product research
  • Other proven OA sourcing techniques you already use successfully

You will document qualified opportunities in our sourcing tracker with accurate supporting information.

We already maintain a large internal list of brands and products that our Amazon account is eligible to sell. You will therefore have clear sourcing areas to explore rather than starting completely from scratch.

Our General Buying Standards

Qualified leads will generally need to meet standards such as:

  • 30%+ ROI
  • $3+ estimated net profit per unit
  • 30+ estimated monthly sales
  • Reasonable seller competition, generally no more than approximately 15–20 FBA sellers
  • Stable enough pricing to support the purchase
  • Exact product / listing match
  • Correct size, count, variation, model, and UPC where applicable
  • Product available from a legitimate retailer or supplier
  • Meaningful quantity available for purchase

These are guidelines rather than an invitation to submit borderline products just because they technically reach a number.

Quality matters more than quantity.

Our goal is approximately 1–2 strong, genuinely actionable sourcing opportunities daily and 4-5 per week, with enough available inventory behind those opportunities to support meaningful purchasing.

For example:

Four excellent leads supporting $950 of sensible inventory purchases are more valuable to us than five weak leads supporting only $200.

A lead only counts as successful when it is something we could reasonably purchase—not simply because it was entered into a spreadsheet.

Required Experience

Please apply only if you already have significant hands-on experience sourcing Online Arbitrage products for Amazon FBA.

You should be proficient with:

  • Keepa
  • SellerAmp SAS
  • Amazon product and listing analysis
  • Google Sheets
  • Online Arbitrage sourcing

You should be able to look at a Keepa chart and explain what the pricing and sales history tells you rather than simply reporting the current Buy Box price.

You should also understand that two products that look similar are not automatically the same product. Exact UPC, model, quantity, packaging, flavor, color, size, or variation differences must be investigated before recommending a purchase.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal person:

  • Has successfully sourced profitable OA products for other Amazon sellers
  • Can work independently without constant training
  • Is analytical and detail-oriented
  • Understands Amazon listing risk
  • Does not submit leads just to meet a quota
  • Communicates clearly when something is questionable
  • Is willing to reject a lead when the data does not support buying it
  • Can explain the reasoning behind their recommendations
  • Wants a stable, long-term position with a growing ecommerce business

We value accuracy, judgment, and purchasing value more than raw lead volume.

Paid Sourcing Test

Strong applicants will be invited to complete a paid sourcing test before a final hiring decision is made.

You will receive specific sourcing criteria and will be asked to locate a small number of real OA opportunities.

The test will evaluate:

  • Product matching accuracy
  • Keepa analysis
  • Profitability analysis
  • Sales and competition analysis
  • Source quality
  • Available purchasing quantity
  • Overall judgment

You will be paid for the test regardless of whether you are ultimately selected.

How to Apply

Begin your application with the words:

Arkadia SOURCING

Applications that do not include those words will not be considered.

Then answer the following questions:

1. How many years have you personally sourced Online Arbitrage products for Amazon FBA?

2. Which sourcing methods do you use most often? Please be specific.

3. How would you describe your experience level with Keepa and SellerAmp?

4. When reviewing a Keepa chart, what are the most important things you examine before recommending that a client purchase inventory?

5. How do you verify that a retailer's product is an exact match to the Amazon listing?

6. Describe one successful OA product you previously sourced. You may remove or hide the actual product name/ASIN if necessary, but please provide the approximate:

  • Purchase cost
  • Amazon selling price
  • Profit
  • ROI
  • Estimated sales
  • Quantity the client was able to purchase

7. Approximately how many purchase-ready OA opportunities were you typically able to provide clients in a 20-hour workweek?

8. Are you currently working for other Amazon sellers? If yes, approximately how many hours per week?

9. Please tell us why you believe you would be a strong fit for a role focused specifically on high-quality Amazon OA sourcing.

Please do not send a generic application describing every type of virtual-assistant work you can perform. We are specifically hiring an experienced Amazon OA product sourcer.

Thank you. We look forward to hearing from you.
