The Assistant Property Manager supports the Property Manager in overseeing daily property operations, resident relations, leasing activities, compliance, and administrative functions. This role is responsible for helping ensure the property operates efficiently, maintains strong resident satisfaction and retention, and remains compliant with company policies and applicable housing regulations.

The ideal candidate is an organized, dependable, and service-oriented professional with prior property management experience and strong communication skills. They should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, tracking projects through completion, resolving routine operational issues, and working collaboratively with both residents and internal teams.

You must possess the following:

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Skilled in time management and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency tracking both short and long-term projects through to completion.
  • Ability to apply problem solving skills to resolve typical operational issues.
  • Superior communication and relationship building skills.
  • Previous experience working in property management.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Complies with Fair Housing

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written format with tenants and senior level management.
  • Assist in processing applications and conducting background screenings.
  • Gather and complete initial certification for 50% and 60% AMI units
  • Investigates and helps to resolve complaints, disturbances, and violations.
  • Contribute to achievement of team goals, leasing benchmarks and resident retention.
  • Keeps Property Manager informed of any information that could affect property operations.
  • Prepares, monitors, distribute and present reports on a variety of operational and financial data.
  • Provides direction to the team in the absence of the Property Manager.
  • Participates in and attends all required training sessions.
  • Ensures strict compliance with the Fair Housing Act.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Project Details

· $15.00 to $18.00 USD per hour
· Part-time: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-1:30PM EST (with some flexibility to work additional hours as needed)
· Fully remote position
· U.S. Eastern Time working hours
