Podcast video editor
Confidential employer
Role Overview
You will own end-to-end video post-production for a weekly interview podcast. You will take raw multi-track
recordings and deliver a polished long-form episode, a podcast-ready audio file, and a set of vertical short-form
clips.
This is a role for an editor who works fluently with AI-assisted tools but brings real editorial judgment about pacing,
cuts, and what makes a moment land. The client is early in the show's life and actively developing their visual style,
so the first several episodes involve close collaboration and iteration. Your taste will shape the direction of the
show.
Responsibilities
Long-Form Editing
- Edit raw multi-track recordings into a polished episode, typically 30 minutes in length

- Apply color correction and visual smoothing for a consistent look across episodes
Audio Production
- Perform audio cleanup, levelling, and noise reduction across separate speaker tracks
- Handle variable guest audio quality, since guests record remotely on their own equipment
- Deliver a podcast-ready audio file suitable for distribution
Short-Form Editing
- Cut 3 to 5 vertical clips per episode for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok
- Select moments with genuine standalone hook value rather than arbitrary segments
- Add clean, accurate captions and simple text treatments consistent with brand style
Collaboration and Workflow
- Work from a shared Riverside and Google Drive folder structure with clear stage gates
- Receive batched revision notes through ---------- and turn them around cleanly in a single pass
- Stay reachable on the client's team channel for quick questions
- Help build and maintain a style and preferences document as feedback patterns emerge across the first month

- Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve for primary editing
- AI-assisted clipping and transcription tools, used with editorial oversight
- Riverside for source recordings and transcripts
- ---------- for review and feedback

Required Skills
- Two or more years editing long-form interview or talking-head video content

- Fluency with AI-assisted editing tools, paired with the judgment to recognize and override weak automated
output
- Reliable, organized file management and consistent turnaround against a batch workflow
- Strong written and spoken English for direct collaboration with the client team
- Comfortable receiving detailed creative feedback during an iterative early phase
Nice to Have
